so I was on imdb looking up some TMNT movie coming out some day (with micheal bays name attatched to it..unfortunatly)

and then I found THAT...up there the link

A Kane and Lynch movie....but I didnt find uwe Bols name or anything like I expected...but Bruce willis? Jamie fox? those guys are..well KNOWN,

reason Im surprised was kane and lynch was kind of a horrible game..well..ok I didnt play it for long but come on..

BUT anyway when I think about it it could work better as a movie than a game..mabye

Not surprised, from what I remember of the game it seems like it wouldn't have to try hard to make a passable summer action flick.

I had heard about this before and I did thing it was odd considering that the games wasn't really good, but as a movie it could work, I guess...
Anyway I like both Bruce Willis and Jaime Foxx so I'm probably going to watch this regardless of whether it's good or bad.

At the end of Moviebob's review of This Means War, he addresses this. Apparently, rumor has it Michael Bay is no longer involved in the project, but the guy behind Battle LA (I'm like 90% sure that's the one he said) might be taking it over.

Either way, if it does happen with actors like that, I might see it for the pure amusement factor. If they do take the serious and gritty path, it should be good for a laugh.

somone was watching the original TMNT movie last night, I imedietly recognised it from the opening few notes on the score (seen it many times) the 2007 animated one I hated


as for kane and lynch the more I think about it, the less rediculous it sounds, its just I was surprised to see such well known names attachted to it, which makes me think it might not be half bad

like Prince of Persia, I hear it was ok, I mean it had the RIGHT kind of peopel behined it

EDIT: I mean its usally well loved and critically acleamed games that get the "honour" of a film adaptation..."generally" speaking K&L was neither of those things

That's it entirely.

The GAME was sucky, the story was... passable. Not good, but it had enough for a hollywood movie. We're just spoiled with more clever and integrated story and gameplay elements.

It aggravates me everytime i think about it.First of all, Jamie Foxx?Are they mad?I can understand a desire to have a cool black character in your movie, but this is a ready IP and it has two white male protagonists in it!Second, i've read somewhere that they are going to drop Lynch's character altogether and replace him with more of a cold, logic, "Hitmanesque" one.Why would they buy rights on IP and then change so much?(that info hasn't been confirmed anywhere, so still hoping on that one)Is it the name "Kane and Lynch" that got their money?Because now that i think about it, K&L story is pretty generic, just two deadmen on a mission to get money, revenge and stay alive at the same time.They could have wrote that from scratch, called it "Lane and Kynch" and save themselves the money.Third, who they think their target audience is?Gamers who are fans of Kane and Lynch?Obviously not.Regular people, who know nothing of Kane and Lynch?As i wrote before, K&L story is pretty generic, without any sort of "twist" or anything of that sort, so i really can't see how that would sell properly.If they want to leave the main story line as it is, they would at least have to write in some sort of a relationship between the two character, and how it bulids up over the course of the movie, all the "bumps" in it, explain why exactly are these two together.But are they going to do that?OF COURSE NOT!Then again, maybe i'm just raging for no reason.

Yep, that's why the games sucking sort of depressed me.

Kane and Lynch are character gold. It's not their fault the games blew.

if anything I was annoyed that they got a black person to play Lynch. Lynch is meant to be white. Get a white actor to play him. There was a bloke in Heat (1995) that would be perfect for the task but his name escapes me :S

and don't throw the racist card at me, I have the same fit when they get white guys to play characters who are meant to be black...I'd like to give an example but double standards dictate the scenario is highly unlikely to surface.

In any case, the game I didn't find was THAT terrible, buggy, but I enjoyed it when I had friends around....and I reckon that it'll make a decent movie...hoping anyways.
