I guess this is kind of a getting to know your fellow escapists thread. What games have you purchased and liked enough to keep? if you want you can count xbla and psn games as well.

My current library includes:

Assassins Creed I and II, Arkham Asylum, Black Ops, Dragon Age origins, Fallout 3, Flower, God of War III, GTA IV plus all the dlcs, Heavy Rain, Infamous, Just Cause 2, NFS: Hot Pursuit, MGS4, The Orange Box, Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in time, Red Dead Redemption and Undead nightmare, Saint's Row 2, Shatter, Uncharted 1 and 2.

From personal experience, my top five titles i recommend would be:

Dragon Age Origins
Fallout 3
Heavy Rain
Red Dead Redemption
Uncharted 2

The Darkness...so deliciously amazing. Also...I burned through Prototype and Conviction, both decent games. Picked up Metro 2033 and was very pissed off that it didn't work. The Darkness, Ninja Gaiden 2. All 360

I actually have played the darkness, i remember it having fantastic atmosphere and a really impressive soundtrack (the orchestral stuff). Not to mention the sequence where the darkness forces you to watch your uncle murder jenny right in from of you. that game was great.

Let's see, I would recommend:

- Amnesia: The Dark Descent (Awesome if you like scary games)
- Battlestations Pacific (If you like WW2 themed RTS, this game also doubles as an action game as you can take control of any unit and is by far more fun to play this way)
- Mass Effect 1&2
- Borderlands
- Sins of a Solar Empire and Civ 5 (a couple of very good 4X games)
- Dead Space (very good game, should be pretty cheap to pick up now)
- I have a lot of sports games but these are more dependent on what sports you like

New Vegas. Just...really, that's all. It's the only game that's genuinely leapt out at me in years.

My collection:
360
Assassin's Creed, Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Battlefield: Bad Company, Bioshock, Bioshock 2, Dead Space, Dragon Age: Origins, Fallout 3, Gears of War, Gears of War 2, The Godfather, Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, Lego Batman, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, The Orange Box, Prototype, Red Faction: Guerrilla, Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Of all of those, the Assassin's Creed series is fantastic. The first game is a bit tedious, but worth it to be able to understand what all is going on in the next two games. Bioshock is incredible if you like a good FPS. The first one is deeply atmospheric and genuinely fun, with one of the best twists in video game history. I enjoyed the sequel, but it's definitely not as good as the first. Both Dragon Age and the Mass Effect series are great if you have 60+ hours to kill. Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection is a personal favorite for the pure nostalgia, so if you ever had a Genesis, pick it up (it has Shining Force 2!) and X-Men Origins: Wolverine is a rare instance of a movie based video game being miles better than the movie, though if you're not a fan of excessive gore, you should avoid it (In the first 15 minutes, Wolverine shoves a man's head into the running propeller of a helicopter. This is not the most brutal thing he does in the game.)

PS3 (I've only had it for a couple weeks, so it's a significantly shorter list)
God of War Collection, God of War III, InFamous, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

I really recommend the God of War series for pure, brutal, gory fun. It's about as fun a hack n' slash game as I've ever played. Other than that, I haven't really played anything long enough to be able to recommend it.

Do you REALLY want me to go through all of them? I never sell back or trade in games, it's a flaw of mine...

I think I'll repost when I get home and can see all my games.

My library is too damn big however, I'd say 'Galactic Civilizations 2: Endless Universe' is easily one of the best games in it.

I've lost more time playing that game than any other I can think of.

My gaming library consists of well over 600 games. I'm not listing them.
OT: NBA Jam is by far one of the most enjoyable games in existence.
Sheer fun at its finest.

I have too many games to list, but as of recently, Planescape: Torment is probably one of the most interesting games I've ever played (only started recently).

-Juggernaut: If you want a game with a complex and great story, with some creepy Myst-like gameplay.

-Martian Gothic Unification: It's a strategic survival horror game where the enemies are invincible, where you control 3 characters at the same time who are at 3 different places and if they cross paths the game is over so you have to plan each move you make EXTREMELY DIFFICULT but very good.

Kirby Superstar: If you want a game that is just plain fun with the best video game music that you will ever hear give this one a try.

Def Jam Fight for NY: A fghting game with rappers as characters. I don't listen to rap but the game is really really good the voice acting is good, the story is enjoyable and the fighting is really fun there is a lot of fighting styles you can fully customise your character and the special moves are ridiculously awesome.
