Normally the winter in the gaming industry is packed with high quality titles, but it's... empty now. In september there's Batman Arkham Asylum and Scribblenauts, then a big gap till ~november/december with New SMB and then in January:

* Aliens vs. Predator
* Bioshock 2
* Mafia II
* Singularity

In about 6-8 weeks!

Note I'm not gonna play Halo, CoD or L4D2. I own a PC, Wii and DS. Is there anything I missed?

Aliens vs. Predator is the one to look forward to in my opinion. i do very much want to be a big daddy, but the old aliens vs. predator games were awesome, and this next one already looks amazing, and there's hardly been anything released about it. i seriously cannot wait!

Cursed Mountain for the Wii maybe. Comes out this month though. It looks somewhat interesting. Depending on your PC, you could try Empire: Total War. It's got loads of bugs, but maybe they'll fixed them by winter. Oh, and Dragon Age if you're an RPG fan. Borderlands comes out in October as well. There are plenty more obscure titles coming out as well (Tropico 3 for example), just look for them.

EDIT: Take a look at Darkest of Days, it comes out this September and it could, potentially be good.

I already ordered Assassin's Creed 2, hopefully that won't get delayed. Also planning on getting a Collectors Edition from Dragon Age: Origins. Not sure if I'll get MW2 immediately, I want to know if my PC can properly handle it before I get it.

If you're really bored, since you got a PC, get Team Fortress 2. That game will keep you busy for ages.

Hopefully Brutal Legend will come out sometime in winter, the one I'm looking forward to is God Of War III.

You can always go outside. Sledding and snowmen and whatnot. Then again I'm a real fan of winter.

Otherwise I'd also go with Assassin's Creed 2.

Yes, you missed Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, in October, for the DS. That, and Scribblenauts are the ones I'm looking forwards too most.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 will be more than enough for the winter for me.

Assassin's Creed 2, Dragon Age: Origins and Modern Warfare 2 are on my list.
Oh, and Uncharted 2, but that isn't available to you, unfortunantly...

Dragon Age: Origins like many others have said, and Darksiders comes out late December. I'm looking forward to Darksiders even more than Dragon Age.

Cynicism Engine Engaged.

The less you know about something, the less you should expect it to be amazing. I refer you to the cases of Daikatana and Duke Nukem Forever.

Which isn't to say I don't want it to be great but I'd advise you not to get your hopes up too much, especially if you loved the previous games. I'm seeing Carmageddon parallels here.
