Ridiculous physics behaviour that makes some puzzles/section where it's required a real pain to do just because the engine doesn't feel like cooperating.

Combine any two or more of the following and I start swearing at the top of my lungs:

- Timed missions
- Underwater missions
- Stealth missions
- Escort missions

"Press A to win" ...

Seriously, how can that possibly be a feature? Might as well be pressing A to read the next page of a book.

When they claim to be "cinematic".

An interactive-media trying to imitate a non-interactive-media. See how this doesn't work?!

Or, an escort mission... where your "escort" partner can die. I'm lookin' at you, Grand Theft Auto. And don't think I can't remember you, Resident Evil...

Or a bad-combat system. All games have combat at some point - or at least an interpetation of it.
So, if a combat heavy game has bad combat *(cough) Knights of The Old Republic (cough)*.

bad tutorials, especially in games with big learning curves- by all means make your games as skill based as you can, but please teach us what we need, quick on screen prompts really don't count.

All of these, minus stealth. A subpar interface/inventory system. They get annoying. Fast. *Glares at Hyperdimension Neptunia*

I'll take the vehicle sections in ME1 over the bloody planet scanning in ME2 any day

Yup those are my pet hates as well although I should clarify that I only hate stealth missions if they're forced on you in a non-stealth game

I dislike it when there are parts of games that sound good on paper (and could be good) but are implemented REALLY badly.

Vehicle sections are a good example. Anyone who's ever played Battlezone will be able to tell you that vehicles can feel good to drive while still feeling like a vehicle. Unfortunately, in many games (mass effect included), vehicles are shoehorned in without any time spent on making them control well, leading to frustration and overall awfulness.

DRM, DLC and bad story. These are the three main reason for me not to get a game.

I hate tutorials, why not just read the darn manual. If game have a tutorial you are forced to play though it every freaking time and it gets really boring after the ten playthough. On the other hand a manual tell you how to play and if you 6 hours in find something that you have forgotten how to do you can easily find it.

Rockstar are especially guilty in this area. Little black text boxes will not suffice anymore dudes, this is 2011.

This for sure. A flaw this fundamental can ruin the entire game for me (looking at you, Alone In The Dark)

Cashcow games.

I'm looking at you, Call of Duty.
Definately agree on this one.

Also games that claim to allow choice of play style but fail to design maps properly.
