This crossed my mind after visiting this forum: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.383884-TLC-why

I haven't had cable for a good four or five years now, but from what I've seen today, they would have to be TLC and the History channel. TLC doesn't really teach you anything anymore, unless of course they're trying to be ironic by showing you what not to do. The History channel doesn't cover much history that doesn't have to do with people trying to get rich or aliens, granted it could be worse.

Which stations can you just not watch anymore?

As you mentioned, TLC and the History Channel are obvious ones, although I must admit I do like Pawn Stars and Top Shot (does this make me a terrible person?). Other than that, Discovery Channel (to a lesser extent), Sci-Fi, and G4.

Thank the Flying Spaghetti Monster for those channel guides/menus that cable has these days that let you channel surf without actually having to pass through the brain-melty stuff.

I'd have to go with the Disney Channel.

With an exception of Phineas and Ferb, most of the shows they've aired seem to be mostly boring or stupid, Almost like Disney forgot they were a company that does shows targeted as family-friendly, not stuff reserved for Barbie fans.

History Channel 2 now, as well?! I haven't had that channel for a few months and I liked watching that one...

Other than the ones other people have said (G4, Sci-Fi, History etc) I think...

Discovery Health
Disney Channel
MTV
Nickelodeon

Just thought I'd add those. Wasn't there a Toon-Disney channel at some point that wasn't Disney XD?

Ya know what cartoons I love? The classic Mickey, Goofy and, Donald cartoons. Ya know what other cartoons I really miss? Garglyles, Chip-n-Dale: Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop and, Ducktails. I really wish Disney would offer a show similar to the new Looney Toon show or, Animaniacs or something just to get Mickey back in good with older kids (and kids at heart). As much as I love the Looney Toons I also loved Mickey's gang (especially Donald and Goofy). Why can't Disney make its own version of Boomerang?!

A few of the generic shows from HC1 are seeping into HC2. It is really a shame, since back when HC2 was History International it showed lots of good historical and cultural stuff.

I haven't actually watched television in years. Nevertheless, I do have opinions.

Cartoon Network is probably the easiest targer around. There was a petition around against their canceling Thundercats, much like they did Megas XLR. And I KNOW most of you who ever watched it are still angry about THAT. So yeah, easy target.

Obviously, the We-Can't-Spell Channel that was suppose to be about science fiction is on the list. What a bunch of morons.Much like CN, you have ONE JOB: To show a particular genre of media. How did they screw that up?! Well, with 6-year-olds on staff, I guess it isn't hard, hence the spelling.

The Learning Channel, obviously. Let's just face it. The other thread says all that need be said there.

And a special note to ESPN2, for really stretching the meaning of sport with its televised Poker and MTG tournaments.

If you have to ask then yes.

Pretty much all cable television is consumed into the cancerous lump that is reality TV.

I don't care for the hate toward CN however seeing as how Toonami is finally back! CNN also got their act together when the dumped all their opinion programs onto HLN; so maybe theirs some hope for TV? or maybe just Ted Turner's networks?

You sir, just blindsided me with the nostalgia levels of that list.
