The title says it all. What was the first console you or your family owned when you first got into gaming.
Mine was the original play station, and i had Worms on it (i think it was world party).

My parents had a NES when I was young, but I don't remember it.
I do remember when they got my brother and I a SNES, though. That thing was awesome. We had Super Mario All-Stars, Biker Mice from Mars, Animaniacs, Battle Toads, and some other ones that I can't remember right now.

First my family owned was the Intellivision. The first I owned, but that was used by the majority of the family anyway, was the NES. The first I owned that was used almost exclusively by me and was even located in my room instead of the family room was the SNES.

The first console I remember playing was the NES at a neighbor's house.

My parents didn't want to shell out the money for a new system at the time, so I got an old Vectrex system that a friend of the family gave us. I spent many happy hours playing such gems as Minestorm, Cosmic Chasm, Hyperchase, and Armor Attack (to name a few) before the system eventually broke down due to age.

PS1 was the first console I ever owned. It wasn't the console that got me into gaming however, that honor would belong to the Sega Genesis owned by one of my cousins. I was so devastated when he sold it.

I think my first was the SNES. It was either bought from a pawn shop or stolen, but at 3 years old, I really couldn't care.

My older sister had a NES, and when she grew away from it, I sorta just got it...

Kinda funny that the topic pops up, 'cause I just pulled my old NES out the closet and repaired it the day before yesterday :D

Gameboy color, if that counts. Dreamcast if not. I was late to the console scene. Hell, I didn't play video games that much at all until I started uni.
