Looking forward to how many new and amasing games are being released i was suddenly hit by nostalga and started remembering the classics, so i was wondering, What was the first game you remember playing? You could also put what game you first enjoyed and why.

I first remember playing slaughterhouse, i know i was to young but lets admit, those bad graphics and blood effects wasn't exactly going to mess me up.

Ape Escape for the PS1, I loved that game and I was jubilant when my mother bought it for my PSP and she didn't even know it was that one.

Combat for the Atari...unless you are counting arcade games. Maybe Frogger if they are included or Centipede or Joust. Hmmm.

The first game I ever played is a really old Mac game by the name of Spectre that probably no one else has played on the Escapist but me.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spectre_(computer_game)

It's an awesome and simple FPS tank game where you roam in a strange 3D enviroment collecting flags and coloured door mats for power-ups. Every time you collected all the flags you move onto the next stage and new and more difficult enemy's appear, but you also get better weapons along the way and I remember the land mines making short work of all my foe's.

I really want to play it again but I think it is only made to work with the first Windows.

The first game i remember playing was Sonic the Hedgehog or Streets of Rage on the Megadrive, one of the two.

I have never owned a Nintendo console, so i never played any of those strange Zelda or Mario titles, it was all about Sonic.

Psychonauts was the fist game to really stand out in my mind as a great game and I forgot the ones before it.

That's because 99% of today's gamers think that good graphics is automatically a great game. But when I look at the games I would like to replay, the ones published before 2004 are still surperior to the crap coming out since then.
