What was the last comic or manga you purchased?

I think my most recent one was The Punisher vs The Marvel Universe #1. It was pretty good. The premise is that there is a virus effectively turning the whole Marvel universe into "zombies", and The Punisher takes it upon himself to hunt down Marvel's zombified heroes.

Spoiler: Minor spoilers for this issue

The book basically sets up a backstory to the infection, and tells you The Punisher's personal reasons. It starts off with The Punisher killing zombie Deadpool, on which he comments on it being the 36th time he'd killed him. Not much else happens, as it just sets the scene.

There is a good part however, where Spiderman tries to eat Rhino's face off.

This is the first of a four part series, and I'd recommend it. Probably not the best, but it's an interesting read.

While I was in the store (before I purchased Punisher vs Marvel Universe), my mate took me over to the Manga section. He tried to get me to buy him the first 5 volumes of Death Note. Like I had the fucking money!

The last comics I bought were Marvel Zombies 5 issues 4 and 5, although I really only purchased them to cap off my collection.

The last comic that I bought because I really wanted it was The Walking Dead: Volume 12.

The first volume of Fables: Legends in Exile. Pretty good stuff, though I much prefer Moore's League of Extraordinary Gentlemen if I'm going to read about literary characters in one giant crossover. As a first volume though, Fables is pretty good and serves up a nice murder mystery with a twist while introducing us to the main players.

I finished both the main trades of Transmet and Sandman a while ago, both freaking amazing series :3 Got Vol.2 of Empowered too recently, it's...addictive.

I've heard...bad things about the Boys, and to be honest, Garth Ennis kind of lost me with Preacher. Not my thing I guess.
