So I was talking to a friend earlier about Dark Souls and one thing led to another and I playfully typed, "your soul is mine". That got me thinking though. If your soul could be obtained through combat (or found), what legendary weapon could it be forged or crafted into?

(I'm kind of going with the theme of Dark or Demon Souls here but any other game that uses a similar system is fine too. I'm also counting spells if you go by Demon's system.)

Mine wouldn't be anything fancy, just something practical like a short sword or spear that's decently reactive to dex. Maybe black with a red shaft or hilt too.

Probably a chain or some other really flexible weapon. I'm not into blunt trauma, I prefer adaptability.

A syringe filled with cyanide. Subtle and silent, lacking in raw power but terrifyingly deadly. Not so 'legendary' though, I guess the syringe could be made of diamond or something.

A Halberd maybe. Pretty versatile, no-nonsense weapons, and they look good too. Not one of your overblown fantasy Halberds though, a normal 16th century one that actually looks like it's possible for the average human being to wield.

The broken sword hilt you have at the beginning of the game...

Thats all you're gonna get for my soul.

Those things are still 5-6 feet long though. Still pretty hefty.

Well, considering Daystar Clarion is actually the name of a weapon from a series of novels...

A flaming sword to be exact :D

Yeah, no doubt. But they're nothing compared to some versions you see in games.

I'm no expert, but given how common they were as infantry weapons, it's unlikely they would have been massively heavy. There's probably been research into it, but I'm too lazy to look really :p

A sack of hammers. Not subtle in even the grossest misuse of the term, as elegant as a rampaging elephant, but damn if it doesn't get the job done.

Does Megatron count? Cause he turns into a handgun, and even jumps dramatically into people hands so they can fire him instead of their own weapon and him firing himself.

Or maybe Galvatron, cause he turns into a tripod mounted weapon, which is cool.

Probably a great big two handed war hammer. It's my weapon of choice if I'm rolling warrior classes after all.

Something blunt but with few sharp edges. Probably spiked mace.
