What will be the last game in your 7th Gen Console?

Now, now, I know that's a stupid title. What I'm actually referring to is what will be the last game in your 7th Gen console when (assuming you do) you get an 8th Gen console. Not physically but symbolically. It's obvious that chances are we'll go back to our 7th Gen Console when we've finished Dead Rising 3, Titanfall, Killzone or whatever else you're interested in.

If you play PC, what will be the last game you play before moving onto a game that also has an 8th Gen console port?

If you play Wii U, what was the last game in your 360, PS3, PC or Wii?

Personally I'm leaving Halo 3 in my Xbox 360. Despite saying how bland it was on this forum, Halo 3 is the game I have the most fond memories of, the game I spent the most time on, the game I enjoyed playing the most for the past 6 years from playing it at a friend's on split-screen to owning it myself.

I'm leaving Silent Hill: Shattered Memories in my Wii, as it was the only game I had much fondness of on my Wii (I didn't get many games for it).

In my 360... Mass Effect 2. Oh the hours I put into that game.

In my PS3... Metal Gear Solid 4. That game was the perfect finale to Solid Snake's story. Never have I experienced so much fan service. I played through it in one 25 hour succession.

In my Wii... probably Sonic Colours. This was the game that made me say "oh my god! Sonic is back! Yay!!!".

I always tend to be a latecomer to the party, my collection for a system tends to double around the time that system's successor is launched. For me it's hard to say because I will not be jumping forward into the 8th Gen until I see enough exclusive titles on one system that make it worth the investment, I can't justify a 400$ pricetag on any console unless it passes my test where it has 10 exclusive to that system games that I want to play... with console exclusivity slowly dying it's probably gonna be awhile before I go past 7th Gen.

Wii: Lots. I was very late to the Wii party and cherrypicked me some good, so I've got quite the backlog I've yet to get to: Metroid Prime Trilogy, Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story, Super Paper Mario, Pandora's Tower, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Kirby Epic Yarn and couple others.

Err - the question about PC is kind of ... weird, because I'm a PC gamer 99% of the time and there are a bunch of games out on PC that I tend to keep going back to. So I can't answer this one in all honesty. Not to mention the fact I wouldn't even know which 8th gen console games ARE going to get a port and which won't...

When it comes to consoles I only own the Ps3 and in all likeliness, GTA V, which I bought 2 weeks ago, will be the last game I play on it if I don't decide to go for another playthrough of Red Dead Redemption.

Actually however, I'm not going to get any of the 8th gen consoles. I don't know why but playing on console just isn't really for me (there ARE notable exceptions ofc), so I'll pass on the XBone and Ps4.

Probably getting a PS3 just for the new BlazBlue and leaving it at that. My 360 is literally used for playing BlazBlue CSEX and Persona 4 Arena and nothing more. PC gaming faggotry has arrived :3

I have to get a 3DS for the new Ace Attorney soon, looks like it comes out right at the start of my half term week with all assignments done. Objective is to finish the bloody thing without ANY GameFAQs help within the first 2-3 days. Maybe there will be no GameFAQs entries for a week or so anyway? Nah some guy will be writing the guide as he goes through the game then instaposting it within day one. That or someone got the Japanese version.

Going to delay my 8th Gen console buy until I really, really, really have to. All the games look meh and a lot of them come out on current gen consoles and PC anyway.

I'm not one for over dramatic bitching but Dead Rising 3 looks to have ruined the entire Dead Rising series and that would have been the only X1 game i'm interested in. PS4 AWAY!

It's probably going to be either Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD, or something I plan to get soon, Motorstorm Apocalypse. I've heard good things about and being a big fan of arcade racers I can't help but give it a try.

As for the others, Uncharted was a launch window title, so those always have some sort of symbolic value, usually as some reminder of the wild ride we had for the generation. Kingdom Hearts was a rerelease(abeit one I haven't played) and help us remind ourselves how far gaming has gone, or in my case, give us a gem that we may have missed.

Yeah I found wording the PC part was awkward, mostly because I barely PC game and I'm aware that most people at The Escapist are PC gamers.

I'll be buying Dragon Age: Inquisition for my 360, I know it?ll also be available for the next gen, but I have no intention of buying the next box or PS4.
I could just buy it for the pc, but my saves, my saves!

I'll probably be buying Wii games for years, I still buy Gamecube games sometimes, like Killer 7 and Pikmin 2 earlier this year, so I have no earthly idea what the last one will be.

I'm also considering buying a 360 sometime, when they've come down dramatically in price. After that happens I'll have an enormous catalogue of games to try.

Not sure, this generation isn't over yet and I am still sure there are still a couple surprises to come.

But chances are Halo 3 would be mine too.

For my PS3 the new Ratchet and Clank and Final Fantasy X hd (if it ever get s a fucking release date in the UK. Cannot even preorder it over here) and as for my Xbox, I stopped buying games for it a long time ago, the last thing being Mass Effect 3. I still have a arcade with a 20GB hard drive and about 95% of it just has the Mass Effect series and its DLC with enough room left for a few Lost Odyssey saves so when I got my PS3 with its 80GB hard drive I just got everything for that.

Until I built my PC then I got everything for that.

Quit playing my PS3 a few months ago(and my 360 four years ago) when I discovered cheap bundles for Steam. Have felt an itch to replay The Saboteur for the past few days though, so that might be my last game. My PS3 library is quite big though, with 110 games last time I counted a year ago, so who knows!

However, as the above poster mentions; If FFX HD gets released soon that will definetly be the one. Gonna play the shit out of that game.
