The new year is looming, so you have to think about how you're going to start it off.

What do you think you'll end up doing in the few seconds of the new year, or what do you hope/wish you could do when the new year starts?

What will probably happen: My family will drag me in front of the TV to drink non-alcoholic grape juice and watch the ball drop.

What I wish I was doing: Spending the night on the couch with my boyfriend.

What will probably happen: Catching up with University friends I haven't seen in awhile at a pool party, I'll drink too much and it'll rain.

What I wish I was doing The same thing, minus rain and hangover, plus the possibility of someone to hook up with.

What I'd like to be doing: Counting down to kissing the girl I love as the clock strikes midnight.

What I'll actually be doing: Complaining about her long term boyfriend as me and my best mates hang out drinking. Man, I hate that guy.

What's going to happen: I'll be in Georgia with my sister, watching her boyfriend's band perform that night. And then maybe getting drunk.

What I wish I was doing: ...probably exactly what I will be doing. Except then a meteor strikes the ground near me and gives me superpowers.

What will probably happen: I'll be staying up watching LPs on youtube or something since I don't particularly care too much about the New Year

What I wish I was doing: getting some sleep. Going to sleep at 6 am every morning isn't gonna help me when I have to go back to school.

What will probably happen: I will be talking to someone who is a complete idiot at some party I don't particularly want to be at.

What I wish would happen: The stars align and a light shines down from the heavens unto me and a voice cries out "This is your king."

What I'll be doing: Being incredibly drunk and not even noticing everyone counting down on a mountain resort

What I wish I was doing: Curling up in bed with my girlfriend, who'll be 500 miles away...

Wish my uni had picked another set of dates for their ski trip.

Being fifteen, I'm not allowed to touch an alcoholic beverage under the vision of the american government. Although, I have no desire to drink. I'd rather stay sound minded.

So yeah.

But, my family got this deep fat fryer for our thanksgiving turkey and we're going to be roasting anything we can get our hands on.

OBESITY, HERE I COME!!!

What will probably happen: Playing a video game, or surfing the interwebs.

What I hope to happen: Playing a video game, or surfing the interwebs.

My family does New Years at New York time, even though we live in the central time zone. So we do our toast at 11PM local time, so my parents are usually in bed by 12. Kind of lame from an outsider's perspective, but it works for us.
