What would be the perfect game.

I would love a game with the crunchy filling of Steel Panthers: MBT, coated in the sweet graphics and destructible environment of Company of Heroes or World in Conflict, and sprinkled with option for the "we go"-style turn-based gameplay of the Combat Mission series.

If it's an FPS, everyone knows that the perfect game is called "Blow Stuff Up" and gives the player a fully destructible, fully physics'd environment and every conceivable weapon, from stone knives to thermonuclear weapons, to use on it.

Lastly, I want a game that recreates the nuclear war simulations seen in the last few minutes of WarGames. Defcon came close graphically, and Bravo Romeo Delta came close in realism. I want the two to meet and make frantic, shuddering love. I suspect this game exists, in some form or other, on a forgotten stack of 5.25-inch floppies in a locked filing cabinet in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying "Beware the Leopard" in some basement of the Pentagon.

Personaly i loved ocarina of time/majoras mask and super mario for the 64. Nintendo when they reached the 64 made tones of good games but those days are gone. Nintendo are in serious need of some new material but if they remade those games i would buy them.

Mainly what i need is a good never ending time waster which is why I play W.O.W.
World of Warcraft however is the least immersive game i have ever played. The closest thing ive seen so far to what i need has been GTA4 online.

Shadow of Rome with less stealth and more missions as an army officer in Germany, and better graphics

Nothing is Perfect. the closer something comes to perfection even though they are really only nitpicks the product is still slightly flawed but we can still raise the bar and create something truly amazing.

That's why. I'm not a douche bag and I don't report people for repeating old threads, but for future reference, the search button is a lovely tool :)

We already had the perfect game... HL2!
Bull.

And assuming we have to be somewhat logical, as in no alternate reality that can be created by the videogame and exist just as much as this one. God of War's music(in my opinion the best video game music ever), POP warrior within combat, WOW's popularity and MMORPGness. Eve's open world that changes based on alliances, second life's way of giving you profit for fake money based on a simulated economy, Silk Road's trade system (as long as there aren't too many asses complaining people decide to be thieves when there are supposed to be thieves), no subscription fee, and place it in the time fable2 seems to placed in . In my opinion that would be the best videogame ever and I might possibly be willing to sell my soul to play this for a year.

*Shameless plug* Base it off "Of Thieves and Murderers" and there you have a very good story line, great characters, action and dialouge there and then..

Nah just kidding.

I think if they made a first person RPGish game on Wii game that makes full advantage of the potential that little console has, perhaps setting it in the 40k universe and allows you complete and utter freedom and not just one story line but hundreds of individual ones that you can take part of or not at all.

No grind would be good and no, pointless, little side quests everything is an epic, with pupose and engaging with deep and interesting NPCs and allows you to develop your character how ever you want to, no limits at all...

This is what im talking about, the removal of traditional limits and bullshit that is most mmorpgs. Where everyone has equal chances of moderate success and you can sort of anything you want. What that could be is debatable which is why i made this thread anyway.

"Nothing is Perfect. the closer something comes to perfection even though they are really only nitpicks the product is still slightly flawed but we can still raise the bar and create something truly amazing."

Nothing is perfect, what is perfect also changes because of other peoples point of veiw. What would be perfect for you. I think a few people like the idea of futuristic fps mmo sandbox rpg.

The more messing around with you charecter you can do the better it would seem. A 40k universe seems somewhat appropriate but theres somthing about things that try to do this i really dont like. This is the inability to maim and humiliate people of your own faction. If the game were well balanced you could kill the people who naturaly are irritating and they cold kill you. Sure this would make a fairly chaotic game but i actually like that idea. However the WII will never be able to pull somthing like this off. It would have to be for the pc and pc only.

Never seen that before. "While not explicitly marketed as a sex toy or masturbatory aid, it has reportedly been used as such" Well duh. >_< That's awesome though.

Yeah it would be a PC thing really with the wii's pathetic memory and all I just like the idea of slashing the Wiimote for the sword and using it to aim and shoot (You could use the nunchuku to aim both a pistol and slash a sword at the same time) But the controls would have to be flawless.

I was just playing Dark Heresy and that is a great foray into the 40k universe dice based RPGs seem far more capable in depth and no liniarity than games created thus far (many have tried to copy the strength of dice RPGs games like oblivion and Neverwinter Nights but none have ever really begun to rival it)

If they could make a game like a dice RPG and make even more freedom as I ahve stated above now that would be my idea of a perfect game...

I feel I should point out that the idea of force feedback codpieces has, in fact, been around before Yahtzee mentioned it.
