What do you think would be the worst thing an archaeologist of the future to find from our civilization?

Personally I think it would be the massive amount of things that are the same left behind, like coffee cups, coke cans, biros etc. It would also probably confuse them that they could find the same thing all over the world.

A Jonas Brothers CD

Imagine that? In a museum 1000 years from now they'll say that this was what we considered to be the best music.

Considering the level of technology we have, with which everything that exists is logged on this wonderful archive of thoughts, invention, and pornographyudding we call the internet, I don't think archaeologists of the future will have to discover much. Every fast food resturaunt in the world could be burnt tomorow, but those in the future would be able to find word of their past existence on the internet.

The dissolving remains of our museums.

"But it makes no sense! Why was ancient man wearing plate armor when there were dinosaurs around??"

"Why is there a whale next to a an elephant?" "Obviously Elephants used to be aquatic!"

Don't worry, if /b/ went away for long enough to be "discovered", the people of the world who have been trained in proper English would not be able to understand a fucking word said in that place

Museums often are, lol. I just wonder about how close the exhibits are at times, and how that makes any kind of logical sense. Chronological order sounds good, until you consider world regions. So you end up with a hodgepodge of all these different things, anywhere from millions of years to a few minutes apart, all meshed together. It gets a bit weird seeing the 'Dangers of the Deep!'with Giant Squids and Whales and Submarines across from the Mesozoic stuffed critters, just down the hall from the empty medieval suits of armor.

I was going to say something that would be horrible for them to find, but instead of thinking up something that would totally skew their view of our world in millennia to come, I'll just say this:

I don't think that their view of our culture could be more messed up than by looking at the muddled up remains of our museums.
