Another zombie question from good old zombie joe.
While I was going home in the car today, I asked my brother what is worse, being a zombie, or being dead. Being a zombie expert (from reading zombie survivor guide and WWZ) he said death was better. So I thought of what it must be like to be a zombie.

From what I read in ZSG, zombifacation is terrible. You suffer a slow and painful death, then become a zombie.

But I have two ideas for what it's like to be a zombie.

1. When you die, you don't "really" come back. Whatever happens to you after death will happen normaly, wether you go to the afterlife or just die. But your body will take a mind of its own, and kill just because it can.

2.You die, and soon your brain turns back on, so you see everything that happens. You don't object, fight, or even think about it. You just see it, and do it. So there is no regret, or feeling left.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

ps I know zombies are not real, but if they were.

You die, then you turn into a zombie. Whether there's pain involved depends on how it was transmitted. Not really much more to it...

On a mental level, its not you.

You died and have moved on, but your body is reactivated in a Instinct Survival mode.

So after you die you wouldn't feel anything as its just your Body that's the zombie now.

Yer ur sort of dead, the virus is pretty much just using ur corpse as a puppet. If you do have any conciousness left i rekon itd jsut b a feeling of hunger and a very vague notion of ur surroundings

Unless your one of those running fuckers! Then shit just got real

I'll go with this.

The classic "magical" zombies that are practically invulnerable and actually undead are impossible on many levels.

The more realistic "infected" type of zombies, it would probably suck to be one especially if it's something like super rabies.

Either way, there is absolutely no reason or way for you to "come back and somehow magically view what zombie does" in scenario when said zombie is dead for any period of time. Lack of blood circulation bringing oxygen to your brain would make sure of that. But then again, for the same exact reasons said "undead" zombie wouldn't be able to move. Without some kind of different ways of feeding your muscles and providing them with oxygen, which is normally done through blood, there won't be any reason for said muscles to do anything but rot. And why would said undead zombie even bother eating other people?

The whole zombie thing is ridiculous and based on stupid cavemen level of intelligence superstitions.

And if all the rules were somehow changed, there would still be better things to "explore" then zombies. Seriously. In a universe where it's possible for dead people to return to life and move without any real in-take of energy or oxygen, and walking skeletons would be pretty much the norm by the same principles, just imagine what "normal" things would be.

Completely different. If you're going to rewrite all the scientific basis our world is based on, don't get lazy and at least try to make it realistic. Just adding magic to real life is a lazy excuse that's full of plot holes and idiocy.

And if we're talking about zombies in sense of people drugged and made believe that they're zombies, well, I'd imagine the whole experience would feel like being really drunk, stoned, and on a bad trip, ignoring most if not all of the pleasant effects of the former 2.

Yeahhh, you don't have a heart, brain or soul as a zombie so I see death and shambling mindlessly for brains the same thing

People ask these questions as if we could give real factual information >.<

What it WOULD feel like... you'd probably just feel your senses and brain functions fading away, then i guess the zombieness takes over.

I would LOVE to see someone ask your first question of priests/ministers in various religions to see what they say:

If you've got a "cool" pastor/priest/rabbi/imam/guru at your church/synagogue/temple/ashram, ask him about this and tell us what he says!

Dude...you know that person from before was joking around.

Yes we get it, zombies are not real, but that's no reason to go around saying "oh, zombies are just stupid" and stuff like that.
It's just for fun buddy.

Sounds like a fun thing to ask
"Father, if someone become a member of the undead, what would it be like?"
lol

And above all, zombies, like other people, cannot declare '/thread' immediately following their own post.

That'd be like me saying "Marmooset makes a good point."

(Although, come to think of it, I do.)

Well, if you've got a good relationship with your church's priest (must...resist...urge to crack joke about Catholic priests and altar boys...), he might just think the question out for you.
