Well, I quit WOW years ago, but I can tell you if you want people to find you by your name, you best give them the server.

Personally I left WoW because of Cataclysm, part because their balancing like fanboys (personal opinion) and also because they loaded it with fake difficulty. Everything feels.... even more tedious than ordinary, all the Heroic dungeons take at least 2 hours to finish (Didn't mind them being longer but that's a bit much IMHO).
Good new stuff : Redone Azeroth, more fun leveling (Until you go to outland, then you just want to cry), the new zones.
Meh new stuff: Flying in old world (Killed the sense of exploration), nonstop recycling of old dungeons (Bosses cool, everything else just feels... lazy)
Bad new stuff: Far too long dungeons, overuse of phasing makes mining/herbalism near impossible in some zones.

Alot of the classes play differently, some with complete new mechanics.

Did you ever play some of the original end game dungeons (not raids)? Like BRD. That took forever. FOREVER. You're looking at at least 3 hours for 1 run. Oh, and if you actually go through with the phasing, then that's not a problem. At all. Just level up, there's time to level your professions later.

you still will have to kill X amount of Things for Y

or

you Drive a Z and use it to kill X for Y

and the places that were deserts now have water

6 months ago was when Cata first came out...

If you missed Cata theres a ton of new stuff out their, what are you looking for? Most basic stuff can be found at the blizzard website.

I don't have access to the blizz website at the moment.

Just these general answers are awesome thanks!

How did that new pvp mechanic work out.

New PvP mechanic?

Hehehehe.
Oh wait... serious? Let me laugh harder.
HAHAAHAHAHAHA!

Sorry... Couldn't resist.
*ahem*

PvP is still... terrible. The mechanic changed nothing.

As for other things... All thats changed is the look of the game. You still have the same old same old.
Community gotten worse as well.
I'd suggest going back for no more than a MONTH... is that at least.

PvP/Multiplayer has yet to do anything good for any game on the planet...not to mention the industry.

I guess Blizzard could start by having PvP and PvE mechanics seperate...

I played since the original and into TBC for a month or so. Lost interest. Came back when Cata was announced "ZOMG GOBLIN ROGUEZ NO WAI" and started an undead rogue, like I always wanted. I had a blast, got to 80, got the basics, sat at the flying mount vendor until Cata went live, played the shit out of that until 85.

Then... It sets in. Nothing left to do but raid and pvp some. Its like working on a project thats a load of fun, and then you complete it and you are just detailing it, but when you are detailing your character, its just a grind. So I'm back off of it.

tl;dr, its still WoW. If you quit it for one reason, you'll quit it for the same reason and Blizzard will have another chunk of your change. That's fair though, they provided me with a hearty helping of entertainment.

Back to real life.

The 1-60 and 80-85 quests are much better than before, I actually enjoyed them, but still not anywhere near RuneScape's. Most of them are still errands, if errands with somewhat decent stories behind them.

Or just have a PvP server and a PvE server system, the characters and gear transfer but the skills are balanced for either role. I'm sure half those servers could be merged for space.

I dunno, I wouldn't know the horde for the scumbags they are if they hadn't kept ganking me. I'd probably feel bad about ganking them, too.

For vanilla/TBC all I did was pvp and suck at it royally (Ret pally that didn't learn... wow I was terrible). Kinda got into PvE a bit at the end of BC but could really get my foot in the door, noone wanted to take somebody with no experience on level 70 5 mans apparently... And that's what I did, rushed to 85 first but then did professions, idk if they've fixed the phasing yet but when I left you had to not do any quests at all to be able to get all the nodes.
