And when I mean skinny I mean skinny skinny, like this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=711ynu4aYdY

I really really don't get it. I can't even share my views on why I don't like it because they're too harsh, even for the internet.

But to sum it up, when I hear of women who are already tiny want to loose weight, I can't help but think of this guy;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUAPDvo2UBM

So can someone please explain to me why this is attractive?

Because if we're not thin, we're FAT FAT FATTIES!

Nah, I think it's mostly just a fashion trend honestly. Remember the corset wasp waist thing? BIG body fashion for women? Well it's pretty much dead now. Eventually the trend of super slim will go away and the next trend which will reject slim entirely will arise. It's pretty much how our culture works.

because we're a society of extremes?

and since obesity is unattractive, therefor the complete opposite must be incredibly attractive.

A happy medium would be nice

"Attractive" and "beauty" are subjective. The reasons you may find skinny girls unattractive may be the reason another dude gets hard as a diamond for them. Sometimes dudes just like them thin like that. Maybe fat(or even average) girls just turn them off. Sometimes its not the body that attracts them, but its their face or their personality.

Care to share your thoughts on why you don't find thin chicks attractive? As long as you follow the rules, who gives a shit if they're harsh.

I, for one, fuck fat chicks.

Free birth control through amenorrhea?

Sounds like a pretty attractive option to me. I mean, sure, it has side effects[footnote]Side effects may include: dizziness, fatigue, and cardiac complications, which may be fatal.[/footnote], but so does birth control![footnote]Dags does not endorse eating disorders as a method of birth control.[/footnote]

Not all of those girls in the video were that bad. Granted, some of them just looked unhealthy, but most of them still looked within the realms of what I'd call 'fine'.

To answer your question, what figure suits you varies from person to person. I know skinny girls who look great that way, but I also know curvier girls who suit that look better, and probably shouldn't try to be thinner. There's no one definitive figure that is best for all women, so you saying that 'no-one should be this thin' is just as bad as people saying 'everyone should be this thin'. I think we should all just let people look how they want to look, and not judge them or put pressure on them to conform either way.

Different people different tastes, and then there is that whole fashion thing where they push the boundaries of tasteless.

To me it just looks scarily unhealthy and it only makes me think how to help the poor things and feed them properly.
I like womens gentle curves not heir bone structure outline.

It's what society teaches us to be attractive. I know it doesn't make any sense, and you're forced to go along. However I don't know why you hate it so much though. I can't understand girls who like tall guys but I don't hate them for it.

Depends on the woman - some of those look underfed, others look banging. Different people have different body types.

Still, slim and curvy (not, "I'm-going-to-say-I'm-curvy-and-pose-in-my-underwear-when-really-I'm-fat" curvy)is my favourite way to go.

"Thinspiration" is probably one of my least favorite words. An idiotic term to describe an idiotic pursuit.

You can get more than one into a bag when you chop them up.

I kid!

But, I honestly don't know why people like super-slim women all that much. I prefer my women to look... Well, I prefer guys.

But, "Healthy" is a nice look.

People like different body-types. I don't like the very skinny look, it looks really unhealthy. My girlfriend is skinny, but not to the point where it looks really gross--and a few of the people in that video looked way too skinny and maybe need to eat more bacon.

I don't care about the body-type as long as they're not obscenely obese or thin to the point of looking like a corpse.

You know... thank you for the responces but... no one has actually answered the question of why.

Like "I like a size 000 woman over a size 8 beause _____"
or
"I like to __________ and I can't do that with anyone bigger"

Goddammit... I feel so dumb now, because I was thinking "thinspiration" came from "think" and "inspiration" (which doesn't make much sense, since I assume one usually thinks to be inspired, or gets inspired and then thinks of what to do with it, but I digress). I just now realize that it comes from "thin" and "inspiration", as if to be inspired by those pictures to become like those women *facepalms* . Darn, I really was wrong. I was even thinking the video was an intelligent criticism on people that go to extremes to change their bodies (hence the name Lust). I'll also say I didn't find all of the girls in the video to be sick and too thin, but there seemed to be women that desperately needed to eat more.

I'm totally fine with a women having a some weight on her. Nothing wrong with it at all, unless it's a cause for concern regarding her health. I honestly do prefer someone who is relatively skinny though. Semi-skinny I guess you could say. She'll have weight in certain places, but still have those curves.

Watched like the 10 or so first women/girls in that video... I think that's almost too skinny. I mean some people can't do anything about being more skinny or "big boned" since we have something called genes but then again trying to achieve that look by too much trainig combined with not eating (anorexia) = Not cool.

This.

OT: While some of the girls on the video did look a bit unhealthy, quite a few of them looked fine (some more than fine, in fact).

Because the question doesn't need answering. You do not have credible criticism on this matter and neither do I have any on your preferred answer, whatever that may be. I just feel attracted to slim (not necessarily skinny) women, that's just the way it is. I don't know why and I don't care why.
