if a man who lived in London was killed in his house that would be classed as a murder
But
If The Queen of England was killed in Buckingham Palace and that classed as an assasination it doesn't make much sense?

Assassination is political murder. Its all about the motives.

Oh, and if I'm going to be pedantic, she's not just the Queen of England, but the Queen of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and the Commonwealth Nations, and some other titles as well.

Please. Use. <url=www.google.com>Google.

Assassination (usually) is the targeted killing of a public figure which may be prompted by ideological, political, or military reasons.
Murder is the crime of unlawfully killing a person especially with malice aforethought.

Essentially, all assassinations are murders, but the reverse is not true.

Careful. You may prompt a slew of 'How Do I Find Googel??' threads in the Advice Forum. The internet is, after all, a scary place.
You're right! I should have included a link to Google in that post. I'll go edit that in. XD
