What's the most amazing game mod you've ever seen?

So, I was looking around on Moddb.com the other day and I found a mod. This mod's name was Nehrim: At Fate's Edge.
So, after a bit of investigation, I decide to download this mod and in about an hour I am BLOWN AWAY by the mastery of it all.
Everything that these germans have done has been to the quality of Oblivion, in some cases evern better.

So that's my story, now for you. What's the most amazing, incredible or simply just dumbfoundingly good game modification you've ever played?

There's this civilization 5 mod that puts a real time clock on the screen.
That thing saved my life.

But seriously there's an old mod for Half Life called 'Earth Special Forces' which is a Dragonball Z beam shooting game, its lots of fun and the graphics are pretty good.

Korsakovia, one of the most compelling and interesting mods i saw in my life....

I often like to play these side adventures, created by fans, using some of my favourite games.... i might say some of the most interesting modes were used from Half Life mechanics...

Alas i digress....

korsakovia... a story of madness, terror and defying reality itself.... the voice, the background, the struggle in finding the truth... every single piece of an interesting yet dangerous puzzle.... i loved this mod from one side to the other...

i advice this mod to you all....

Best mod I've played? The Battlestar Galactica mod for Homeworld 2. Totally awesome, the Star Wars Warlords mod for Homeworld 2 was equally as awesome just for how much fun it was to watch two massive fleets duking it out.

Ones that look aamzing but haven't been released are Black Mesa and RE-T: Racoon City Incident.

But i do know that the one the OP suggests is quite cool. I've seen the trailer, too, it's quite well done.

I'll say the various mods on Warcraft 3(custom games) if that counts. Ahh the fun i've had with Angel Arena, variation of tags and not forgetting DoTA.

EDIT: Or once in class, we had a project to create a mod in Neverwinter Nights. Learning scripting etc. Calling the mod "Awesome Redemption" don't know why we had the name, just found a random name for the mod.

i advice this mod to you all....

It was an interesting experience but it was let down by bad design (lighting, level design and a lot more)
I much prefer Research and Development.
That spinny chopper car is hilariously awesome

Nah, they're got german voice acting, but all the subtitles and a lot of the text in game has been converted to english.
Don't forget tho, it's still a work in progress, so there's gonna be a lotof updates that include english texts and translated quests added in.
