What's your favourite videogame (music) track?

Yo, just wandering what everyone likes in a videogame track, do you like the 8-bit style? Or perhaps the newer, artsier kind?

My personal favourites would be:

Chemical Plant Zone (Sonic 2)
Mushroomy Kingdom (Brawl Mix)
The Persona 4 Theme (...Persona 4)

I guess you could say I like Nintendo

I like the artsier stuff, I suppose. Huge fan of the Silent Hill, World of Goo, and The Path soundtracks specifically. And the well-done, orchestrated stuff from the old Medal of Honors, Battlefield: 1942, and Shadow of the Colossus. That's about it though.

The BGM for Guilty Gear X2 I think ... fighting game on the PS2 and Xbox. Love fighting with Metal in the background; especially the music that plays when fighting I-No at the end of Story mode

I've been gaming for years, but never actually listened to a video game soundtrack, just through the fact I didn't think I was that sort of gamer.

Until MGS4, where upon completion of the game, I felt moved enough by my love of the series to actually listen to the soundtracks to the game.

The original MGS OST is my favourite.

I love retro music (Jazz, etc.) in a totally violent enviroment like Bioshock or Fallout 3. I especially love the part where Sander Cohen loses his marbles and plays "Waltz of the Flowers" while Splicers try to tear you a new one.

The metal theme to Final Fantasy X was good also.

Silent Hill 2's music is probably the creepiest I've ever heard and fits the mood of the game well.

This one recently, when it starts playing the second you step into Dracula's Castle, it just keeps you an epic endgame experience, and u having to go through it all (cause the damn place is huge as hell, with a high difficulty to boot) plus its a slight remix of the main theme
