What's your favourite weapon/playstyle combination on MW2?

Hi all,

I'm just curious what everyone's choices are for particular map types.

For small or tightly packed maps such as Favela, Karachi and Storm, I prefer a run and gun style with an SMG or Assault Rifle.

On larger maps like Wasteland, Estate and Overgrown I prefer a kill and move style with a Sniper Rifle.

Also, I'm gonna buy the Resurgence maps tomorrow. What are your combinations and tactics on these?

Give me a LMG with foregrip (preferably L86 LSW) and I'm happy on any map. Depending on the situation I add a scope, but mostly just ironsights.

Oh, and always a Stinger.

I go slow, I patrol areas. I'm usually good at expecting where enemies come from and most of them don't like running headlong into a hail of automatic fire. I also like to provide covering fire when team mates storm hideouts. Just keep spraying and they'll keep their heads down.

i like to go silent. my typical load out is a silenced scar and usp with a tactical knife and then marathon pro, cold blooded pro, and commando pro. i also like to go pure speed with a silenced p90, usp with tactical knife, and marathon pro, lightweight pro, and ninja pro. they can't what has snuck up behind them! haha.

I dont play it much but i always used the AUG with scavenger perk, Cold blooded and whatever im feeling like using on the Third tier, i saw them all as pretty useless.

Works well because i dont assualt, give me ample cover and ill fire and advance and because of the High clip size i dont need to worry about reloading, which stops them bum rushing me.

I go stealthy sniper style with the intervention w/ silencer and heartbeat sensor (or acog for closer sealth action) and a USP w/ silencer and tactical knife. Bling pro, cold blooded pro and ninja pro.

Normally the M4A1 or AK when I unlock it with a red dot and grenade launcher.
Secondary of either G18 or Stinger.

Or, if I'm on a bigger map I go with the M21EBR with silencer and M93 Racaffa with silencer.

I generally only play Hardcore, so the sniper set up is killer, the rate of fire on the M21 makes it killer against groups of enemies.

Stealth. I'll take an assault rifle, stick a silencer on the thing, and burst fire when in doubt.

I never, EVER, spray a room. In fact, I will only take a shot if I know that the shot will hit.

I always change builds but for the sake of answering the thread, my current builds i use are:
SCAR-H silencer, akimbo Rafficas with scavenger pro, stopping power pro and ninja pro
Also,
UMP silenced, USP tactical knife with marathon pro, lightweight pro and commando pro

However, I switch it up alot and with my anti-air build *Always have one* (stinger) I carry a LMG and always have cold-blooded (mostly for clanmatches).

Map wise, Im fine with anything but, rust can get really annoying. I use the builds above alternating not really to suit the map (almost every gun suits every map) but more just to mix it up.

After playing for a really long time (Prestige 5). I started doing all the eccentric challenges and I have completed: Nuke challenges, Surgical, Heads Up, Droppin' Crates, Mach 5, Dictator and others which were ridiculous and many times made me look like a retard. To get the crate challenges I had to waste Emergency Air Drops (luck involved).

For the few times I have played this game, I always preferred to have the MODEL 1887 shotgun, the .44 MAGNUM pistol and standard frag grenades. I have only played it online once, the other games I have had were the Co-op missions. From what I saw of the online play, I have no interest in doing it again.

I just prestiged again, and damn, the M4A1 is amazing with SP.

Small or enclosed maps, unused SMG, SPAS with grip, Marathon, Stopping Power and Ninja.
Medium maps, AR, usually TAR-21 with silencer, SPAS with grip, Scavenger, SP and Ninja.
Big maps, Intervention, SPAS with grip, Sleight of Hand, SP and Ninja.

My tactics on TDM are basically run to the enemy spawn with the SPAS. But on Wasteland, I just creep round the edge sniping people. Fun fun.

ACR Silenced and Akimbo 1887's.

Perks are Scav Pro, Cold Blooded Pro and Ninja Pro.

My playing style is usually stealthy, but I whip out the 1887's when I fuck up the stealth.

Scar-H Launcher and Thumper
Barret 50 FMJ and Raffica
(L86 Grip Holo and Stinger)

Those are going to be my setups when I relevel from Prestige. First Five were the ones I used at 70 the first time. Parenthesis show my "Extra" class that I didn't have to begin with.
