What's your favourite Xbox 360 single player game?

The reason I ask is because I have been playing waaaaaaaay too many online games lately(e.g Halo 3, Unreal Tournament 3, Shadowrun, COD 4). So I really want to mellow out and get out of that competitive,smack talking, killing, tea-bagging frame of mind for a bit. Can anyone recommend some really fun single player titles on the Xbox 360?

The Orange Box will probably give you the most bang for your buck. Or BioShock, or Mass Effect.

Mass Effect, Bioshock, and GTA IV are probably my favorite 360 games.

Mass Effect and Bio shock are less than $20 GTA IV is about 30 last I checked.

Lost Odyssey and Orange Box are probably the best. IMO.

Dang, all of those are so good. You forgot to mention oblivion. That's good fun that will keep you busy forever.
I got a good deal on The Orange Box, only ten bucks. If you can get a deal like that for any of those games, I would suggest getting two because all of the mentioned above didn't keep me busy for very long. Get Oblivion if you want something that will keep you busy for a long time.

Sonic Unleashed as that is the ONLY Single Player game I have for my 360. Unless you count downloaded games, then Banjo-Tooie and Psychonauts for 1200 points a pop.

Tales of Vesperia if you like JRPGs. Operation Darkness if you like SRPGs. Both are really long and will be worth every penny in length alone. Overlord, Mirror's Edge, and BioShock are good rentals. If you want to get into music games, Rock Band 2 is my most recommended.

Mass Effect easily.

Bioshock was really fun for 1 playthrough, but after finishing it I found myself completely void of any desire to ever play it again. The atmosphere and to a lesser extent the story were what made the game good. That's kind of ruined in subsequent playthroughs.

i cant believe people are saying mass effect, it wasnt that great, gears 2 and call of duty 4 for me, i just realised im gonna get given heaps for saying mass efect was bad and that gears 2 was good

One game I play when I'm tired of killing acutal people I play Rockband 2 or BioShock.

Until a few weeks ago I would have said it was Dead Rising or Star Wars: The Force Unleashed stage 1 because I used to think there could never be anything more fun than killing swarms of undead with a lawnmower or flinging Wookies into orbit.

But then I played Prototype.

It may not be an exclusive title, but it took me nearly 4 hours to get into the actual story of the game because that first overpowered level is so fun and mind-blowingly bloody I got sucked in more than a windmill in a hurricane.

Fable 2, it's easy, pointless fun. The difficulty curve is nonexistent, you can finish the whole game without 'dying' once, and you can't actually die, but hot damn walking into Westcliff and busting caps in people's asses is fun. Plus being the king is oddly gratifying.

Mass Effect; absolutely no competition. Well, until ME2 comes out anyway.

Amped 3 is really really good if you like Snowboarder games. Also Enchanted Arms and Lost Odyssey are two good RPG's.

Thats pretty much my log of single player games.

Why play another 'serious' shooter? You wouldn't see a self-reloading heat-seeking anal probe gun in any of them.
