What's your view on nudity?

I personally don't have a problem with nudity and I will admit that I am a nudist when I'm at home and I would be a full time nudist if there weren't laws against it but I really don't see what people's problems with nudity is. It's my body and if I don't want to put clothes on it why should you give a damn. If you don't like it then don't look, it's as simple as that.

Because there are sick perverts out there who get their rocks off from exposing themselves to women/children. I work with offenders and know a few people who would love the chance to legally show their junk to young kids.

Its not like nudity on the TV where I can change the channel if im offended/young child is watching/think its fat/gross/pastey etc. I cant walk down the street with my eyes closed, id be run over by the end of the week.

If you want to walk round naked in your own home where you cant be seen by others then thats fine. Just dont inflict it on civilians.

That isn't as much of a problem as you probably think. Pagans do a lot of rituals "skyclad", and it doesn't seem to be a problem. Unless your body is actively looking and the area of your brain devoted to reproduction is firing then the big guy is generally good at staying in the six'o'clock position.

The problem is there are certain people out there, and if you see them nude you will never want to have sex again.

I also like to walk around in my birthday suit while in the privacy of my own home, at least as long as the temperature allows. I don't know if I'd be fully comfortable in a nudist colony at first, but I suspect it's something you'd get used too after a while. It's more or less just a conditioned response that we learn when we are young that nudity is not okay. But honestly I feel more comfortable when I'm out of my confining clothes and can relax.

Actually, during the victorian era, a woman showing her ankles was considered as sexy as a woman flashing most of her breasts would be now. People from that era would literally faint from embarrasment if they saw someone in more modern clothing.

Clothes have multiple purposes. They keep us warm. They give us protection from places we might otherwise get all scratched up. They also prevent massive orgies from taking place during business meetings.

Suppose the lady giving the speach is INCREDIBLY attractive. So are a few other ladies at the meeting, and so are many of the guys. They'd start talking about a business proposal and end up having fun with each other on the table. And considering that people can be very judgemental on physical attractiveness (even if they don't admit it, everyone is to a point) people who aren't blessed physically would be ridiculed left and right, if not by words it would be by the looks people give them.

Nudity has its place. Among people that think the same way, at home when you're alone, skinny dipping or, of course, sex (and sometimes not even then) but I think clothes are a necessity.

And if that didn't help you put things in perspective... without clothes, you'd have to see your mother naked. ALL THE TIME. Don't even try to act like that wouldn't bother you.

i think that if everyone just walked around naked there wouldn't be such a problem with "sick perverts" because it wouldn't be exciting anymore. it would be normal.
also i don't have any qualms with anyone being nude. the human body is just about the same everywhere, the only thing that differs are sizes and fat content.. really i don't think that anyone is gross unless they have some sort of weird infection or something. i'm not shallow though so maybe that's why i feel differently.
don't get me wrong, i don't think it's fun to stare at a naked fat guy but i don't have to stare, and i wouldn't. just seeing it isn't going to be something new or unimaginable... it wouldn't change anything... maybe if that fat guy was dancing in an odd way or chasing me... that would be scary..

also nudity being a norm might actually help take some stigma off of sex, sexual identity, and related issues.

Ever seen any Tararintino films? Note how he always has shots of women's feet in them. To him, they are just as a attractive as breasts or any other part of the female body. I'm amazed and always curious as to why some of us have fetishes focused on certain parts of anatomy.

but i do agree that clothes are a necessity, i just don't think that they're always a necessity, like if it's a hot summer day.
