Yea, so I come back from school and jump onto the internet.

50 New Emails
All spam.
3 are spam from Hotmail Service.

Where did they get my email adress?

54 New Facebook Messages
1 aimed directly at me.
53 were from apps or group photos.

11 Escapist Messages
No new friends.
90% quotations agreeing with me.

So I check the times and I racked all these up overnight. It seems the internet likes me more when I'm asleep.

So when do you guys get the most online lovin'?

On Facebook I usually get a lot of emails about tagged photos and so on in the days following a night out, although that isn't always the case. I usually get a few messages a week though from events and societies I'm involved in at univeristy through Facebbok (theatre group and film-making being the big two). On the university Portal I get plenty of emails from the School of Maths about things I'm not actually interested in despite studying something remotely related to it (like, an invite to a lecture aimed at third year students when I'm only in the first year, for example). On The Escapist I get a lot of messages when I'm active and posting a lot, mainly quotes, but occasionally I get plenty when asleep too. Usually after going to bed after posting a lot here...

Actually, back over Easter I didn't go on the internet much, when I did after about a week I had a shitload of messages on pretty much every internet thing I go on, plus loads of emails through Hotmail. I was pretty popular that week, it seems...

The only time the internet pays any attention to me is when I post an unpopular viewpoint in a controversial topic on The Escapist...

Usually in the afternoon, around 3-10pm. Got a good group of friends online then, we have a jolly good time. Other than that, I'm pretty much ignored on the Internet, except on the Silent Hill Talk forums, where most of the replies or quote or PMs I get happen when I sleep. Meh.

No love for me either. Much of the stuff is spam no matter what website you're on. Especially this one. Normally I enjoy getting quoted. but sometimes it would just be nice to get a message from some one who wants to talk.

Tagged and facebook, it is always when I've JUST cleared out my inbox with spam(gotta love it) but that said, that's not so often.

Usually I'll have between 3 and 9 quotes waiting for me in my inbox waiting for me when I go visit the Escapist after a long night's posting.

I don't call what is received on the internet attention, I call it the cyber version of STDs. Facebook invites are like clap; not that serious but annoying. Spam is like gonnorea (I know its spelt wrong); you get it once it keeps coming back no matter how hard you try to get rid of it.

I feel that analogy has gone as far as it can.

'Attention' is when the hot chick you just passed on the way to the shops turns to check you out and you only see her do it because you were already checking her out.

Are you counting the spam as love? Because I think Spam is love.

My twitter gets a buttload of comments cuz it's usually just punchy declarative statements like

"I refuse to sit in the moist chair!"

For a while I ran a roleplaying thread on GaiaOnline and every time I answered one message, I had four more pop up in my inbox. It was fun while it lasted, but now my only messages are updates from people I watch on DeviantART.
