I Went to a gadet convention a couple of months ago and one of the things that really intruiged me was the upcoming range of video headsets and glasses. I was excited to try them out. I couldnt find a single device I could use all because I wear glasses.

None of them fitted over my glasses in a way that I could see focus properly on the image. And without my glasses it was even worse.

Now before anyone says I cannot wear contacts as they cannont make them with prism in and I have a high level of prism In my glasses so I can see.

Do you think that they will ever take this into concideratoin when making them in the future as roughly 60% of the population need to wear glasses if they know it or not.

Just interested in peoples opinion.

This annoys me too- I wear glasses and although I don't use any video headsets, the polarised 3D glasses in cinemas fit somewhat awkwardly over my glasses. Also 'can'-style headphones make the earpieces of my glasses press into my head. I doubt manufacturers will take this into consideration, as the amount of people who need to wear glasses is more like 10%.

They probably will eventually if they actually become a success popular among the masses. A wider audience=more money.

What they aught to do is simply to design the display so that you can calibrate it based on your prescription- I can't imagine it would be that hard; they already have to distort the screen for a lens so it appears flat when its so close to the eye.

If it becomes more common technology, then it will quickly be solved, don't worry. :)

Without any intent to insult, I always imagine the population of gamers with glasses to be much higher. Maybe I'm wrong, but again, I don't mean offense. I am a gamer with Mr. Magoo level vision, so I can't mock people for being nearsighted.
