What happens to you if you go an extended period of time without food?(As in more than 24 hours.)

I have only done this once. I went two days without food and by the beginning of the first day I could barely stand and was shaking pretty badly.

By far the strangest thing that happened was when I fell asleep like this. I dreamed about a sniper on a wooden platform attached to a wall. This platform would peridically begin to spin very rapidly and the sniper would stay on. Every time I tried to think how this was physically possible I would get a massive headache.

This somehow morphed into a dream of Confederate soldiers trying to hide from the Union behind a giant gallbladder.

Also, you get very hungry.

That's very random on the dream front.

Longest I've gone is 18 hours or so, I usually run on an empty stomach unless I've had a little Weetabix Honestly, it doesn't affect me much lately.

Longest Ive gone is about 9-10 hours. I usually eat like a mad man but I just completely forgot to eat one day.

I get mad if I go 8 hours without eating, I'll even get up in the middle of the night to eat more food.

I've gone about 2 days without food. I can go for a while without food and be completely fine. I've never tried to go for anything more than 2 days as after about 30 hours the hunger kicks in a bad way.

I've only not eaten for like 15 hours or so.. But when it happens I almost feel what I think is high. I can't think straight. Then I pig out!

I've actually vomited once when I hadn't eaten for too long. Pretty strange response, you'd think that the body would want to keep as much stomach content as possible if you're starving. : /

I've gone like 30 hour-ish without food. I just got a slight headache and felt a bit tired, and hungry obviously.

I didn't do very much though, so I didn't need the energy as much I guess.

When I'm hungry I'm really mean, tired and freezing. I'm quite used to going ages without eating though, so it'll take a while. Generally I'll eat breakfast then nothing till dinner, which is at half ten at the earliest, all entirely due to laziness ;D

Someone called me 'curvy' once and I only ate an apple a day for three days. I felt like shit, I've no idea how some people keep it up. Honestly, possibly the worst three days of my life.

it's something that for some reason just doesn't impact me much.
