In this thread, I would like you all to post something you did, in real life, which might have been caused by playing too many video gams, or too much of a certain video game.

mine is:
we were having a really retarded substitute teacher..i thought it would be funny to be a douche to him all lesson...when he finally got ticked off, he came up to my desk, grabbed my arm and pointed me out of the classroom, that is when i made a gesture with my hand, as if i was about to assassinate him with my hidden blade, unluckily enough he saw it coming so he managed to stop my lethal...air-assassination...that was an interesting lesson..the principal was rather confused..

so what is your story??!

Here's mine: I play a lot of Oblivion lately. So I'm at work at a restaurant, I decide to have a coffee, and suddenly I convulsively visualize an idea comparable to: "Coffee - Fortify Speed and Willpower 3 pts, Drain Agility 2 pts for 2 hours on Self."

I once tried to look at my Pipboy 3000 without realising it and was staring at my wrist for about a minute before someone said "are you alright?"

As for me, after playing InFamous for several hours, I worked out routes home across the rooftops of buildings.

I played so many video games I was impelled to discuss them on the Internet with strangers.

Seriously, though, back before the arcade in my town closed, I was a Dance Dance Revolution nut. One thing I and all the other players noticed is that, after playing DDR for any length of time, you would start seeing scrolling arrows whenever you closed your eyes. I actually never met anyone that this didn't happen to.

I wonder if this happened to people who played Guitar Hero. I played a lot of GH, but I don't really remember it ever happening to me. What makes the difference, I wonder?

When you look at some snow, and thinking "Oh great, the Graphics need time to render."

Swear to god I thought this after I had played a week of Mass Effect.

When I went rock climbing the other day, I tried to run up the wall, then grab onto it, and keep going, like something from assassins creed. I failed instead

Back in the days of quake 2 there was a mod where you could get a grappling hook. Can't remember the name of it but we played it quite a bit. While walking one night, my friend casually raised his arm at a bridge that we were passing under as if to grapple it, and after a second realized what he was doing and was totally shocked with himself.

Unfortunately, today I accidentally stepped on my cat's tail, and out of the blue, I wondered how many hit points it had left =/

After playing fucktons of BF2 back my Freshman/sophomore year of college, I actually started looking around as I walked from class to class on campus for the best spots to call in artillery shots, land helos, and snipe from.

That's about as much as I've ever done.

I used to fight like Sub Zero. Hell it worked when I got in my first fight as I won.

I also do this quote a lot. If Im shopping for things with a couple of my mates who play RPG's we always do stuff like that. "T-Shirt! +5 Constitution and +2 to Warmth!". I shouted that out when several hot girls were looking, I never felt more embarrased in my life.

I have similar experiences only it's because of Tony Hawks. I imagine a guy skateboarding on the roofs if I'm bored

For me...
Well, after playing through Portal a few times... one time when I was going shopping with my folks at the mall, I saw a white, clean, smooth-curved blender, with a blue circular logo on it... I just kept backing away from it the whole time we were in that cooking store... that thing just creeped the hell out of me.

After playing Web of Shadows I tried to Web sling between rooms in whatever building I happened to be in at the time at random moments. Hurt myself at home, at church, and at school.

These kinds of things happen to me quite often actually...

The Tony Hawk one is the same for me. After playing it for a while, (or Skate now) a walk down the street becomes a search for rails and lines to skate on.
