Well here's the thing, I have come upon a situation where I require a new computer. And it has to be, for all intents and purposes, a high-end/gaming computer.

Now before you say, build it yourself...I have tried once before and that has ended up in sweat, tears and several pints of blood loss (even with a guide).

As it so happens, I have scraped through enough funds to buy a gaming PC, the only problem is where in Australia do I get one?. The usual retailers have mid range PCs like HPs and Acers but I am looking for a gaming spec computer and I have no idea where to purchase one. Does anybody have any idea where the best place to start is (retail or otherwise)

Trust me, the Internet has the biggest selection of PCs ever.

go to one of those random road-side computer stores the people there will know what u need

I'd say use the interbutts, but I hate buying stuff off here. Just look up computer stores in your area, or if you're on the east side of the island just make a trip to one of the cities. I'm sure some people in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne have gaming PC needs.

If my experience is something to go on NEVER GET AN HP.

But I'd say order it from the net.
