So for a little fun, I thought we could share where we as Escapists call our "room" - be it a single room or an apartment - what area do you call yours?

For me personally, my apartment only has my bathroom/kitchen and my room and only room worth showing off is my personal room.

Not much to it, and kind of bland I know.

Some shithole Studio Apartment because it's all I can afford. Approx. 260 square feet of living space with a small closet, a stove/oven, sink, standing shower, and toilet in the basement of a 12-apartment complex.

Been here for...three years or so by now. I'm just nipping at the heels of getting what I need to buy an actual house like a real adult but I'm looking at a few years before I can comfortably do that. Still got too much student loan debt and I don't know if I want to risk having that AND a mortgage at the same time...

I'm pretty lucky. I live in the gatehouse lodge of an old manor estate, so I have a very solid C19th granite building all to myself. It's completely detached, and a good 100m from the nearest house so I can make a lot of noise without pissing anyone off, as long as I keep the windows and shutters closed. The ceilings are a bit high so it gets cold in winter and, being in Cornwall, it needs extractor fans to remove all the Radon gas.

I'd post pictures but I can't be bothered. I basically have a basement suite of a house shared with an old college mate. It's full of spiders, the water backs up the drainage when you shower and the landlord is sketchy in the extreme.

So your basic Vancouver accommodations... <.<

A 1040 square feet, 3 room apartment in an early 20th century building, with original herringbone floors, ceiling stucco and 3 meters ceiling height. It is the benefit of being a family person, as I share it with wife and children, but it still has plenty of space for the three of us. A huge plus are the incredibly thick concrete/brick walls, that make it nice and cool in summer and has decent heat retention in the winter.

A recently-built (last 15-ish years), detached, suburban 2-level that I currently share with my parents, who are starting to get into their old age. I am reliant on my current course to get an IT-related job that will hopefully allow me to move somewhere else with less restrictions. All other family live in England or outside the UK - in the US or elsewhere. No pics, because I don't know how to take one with my phone.

A bed, a desk, a chest of drawers, a comfy chair, a nightstand, and three bookcases. Every surface is littered with books, schoolwork, and miscellaneous junk.

I live at the gym. Only joking, it's a three-bed suburban semi I'm generous enough to share with my life buddy. I never go to the gym. Got a membership though, so I'm halfway to ripped.

I'll have to come back and find this thread when my family's new house is built. We had a fire last September but things are moving along nicely now. Currently in a temporary condo and my room's nothing to write home about. I'm a 6'2 dude in a room which would be more appropriate for a grade schooler. Regardless, still managed to fit enough furniture and such for my pc, tv, and assorted belongings.

I lived with my parent so I lived in a house althought they are trying to sell it at the moment. I want to lived on my own at point, ideally an apartment.

Anyway my room is pretty much my sanctuary which got everything I wanted except for a working TV (can't watched lived shows). It's ok these day as I stop watching anything on it well mostly (watched the news in the morning before work) as the pc provide any coverage.

A two bedroom house that I can only afford to rent because the owner is my friend's dad. I'm losing it soon because he wants to sell it when he retires in 2018. Probably have to move to a cheap apartment somewhere.

I live in a 2-level house that is 7 minutes of walking away from school. Quite pleasant, our house is noticeably smaller from the literal mansions around us, but I stopped caring about that some time ago.

My room itself though is quite small, my parent's bathroom is larger than it. I'm fine with that. All I do in my room is jack off and sleep.

Would share a pic of my room.

But I'm still living with my parents. In my old room I've always lived in. And I don't even give enough of a damn to change the old colorful wallpaper because I keep thinking "I'll have my own place in a year or two once I have my damn degree" and it keeps getting delayed. XD

So...No, not going to share. The goofy old wallpaper is too much. XD

I live in a house with my wife and son, but my room is the basement. I've got a TV for my console gaming, an iMac for my music recording, a fireplace, and a bar. It's pretty cozy when I remember to get the chimney sweep out to the house. Otherwise, it's the coldest room in the house.

Recently (as of this past weekend) moved into a condo. It's super messy - boxes, boxes everywhere! - so you ain't getting pictures right now, but it's around 600 square feet. Insuite laundry, closet, bathroom, kitchen, living room, bedroom, and a patio. I like it. My desk is in the space the listing called the "kitchen nook." Fits the desk perfectly, though, and there's an island with bar stools for eating breakfast.

I live in a 8 1/2 flat with my sister, and since last year, her boyfriend as well.

It's a comfortable arrangement, quite spacious, inexpensive despite being bohemian bourgeois as all hell.

Location is incredible too. Nice calm neighbourhood where I grew up, though oddly the rent hasn't been scaled up that much unlike the rest of the surrounding properties, the nicest park in town a street away from my place, local market is on the same block, bank is about 5 minutes away on foot, subway station 10, and downtown 20.

Moved in last year, a cape cod at the end of the neighborhood, by a lake. My office (let's call it that) is in the basement.

We're quite house poor at the moment.

You want me to share that information with an internet full of potential enemies?
I think I've just ferreted out one of those enemies.
