I've never really been one for CD's, because they create clutter and are generally a pain in the arse to switch around and take care of. Consequently, the music that isn't given to me by kindly acquaintances is purchased online in digital form. I'm not a big fan of pirating, because I tend to listen to the kind of artists who both deserve and need their money in order to keep making more music.
So.. Where do you download your legal sounds? Amazon mp3? eMusic? Ubuntu One? iTunes? Some other service that I haven't heard of? Or do you just stream last.fm?
I use eMusic, because of its fairly obscure selection, good prices and lack of DRM. Also, Amazon doesn't seem to cater to Irish users and iTunes is horrible to use and has proprietary formats which I can't play.
You?

Most of the music I listen to has been released on the internet for free or I've purchased from Amazon.

However I don't listen to too much music, and quite a lot comes from CDs I already own so I don't make music purchases very often.

I buy most of my music via CDs, usually from HMV, but more recently some smaller local music stores. Anytime that I just want one or two songs off an album, I get the tracks off itunes because I can't be bothered with anything else.

Spotify. You get to stream music all free and legal. It only exists in Europe though for the moment.

On the highstreet. I like to own my music in physical form rather than as a collection of bytes floating around on a solid state drive. I also like album art.

I tend to buy all my music off iTunes these days. I used to buy CD's but buying them off iTunes is more convenient for lazy bastards like me.

HMV, Amazon, my Mother, various friends, free downloads, etc... things like these.

Although I'm going to be getting most if not all of it from work from now on.

either from itunes or if I want physical CDs I go to a store in my local mall called FYE because they stock alot of the stuff that I listen to.

I'm one for CDs... Used CDs, generally. Not for use, but for a stored hardcopy. I rip 'em myself. Used to get 320kbps MP3s, now I go with FLAC.
Sometimes I get 'em off Amazon, sometimes at a local music store.

I usually get it from iTunes, I have found old CDs kicking about though (R.E.M. and Muse mainly) so I ripped the music off them and put it on the laptop.

Mostly from itunes but I do occasionally get my music from CDs if I feel like fighting with the wrapping.

What's wrong with buying CD's? D:

I like to go through bargain bins in HMV, or other music shops, and just look for covers or band names that sound interesting. It's how I found out about a band called Starsailor. (The cover was all blue and stuff, I like blue :D)

I've also used the iTunes store before, but I find it harder to get my music back if my laptop gets reset.

CD's, man. I wreck hard discs too frequently for digital downloads to be a good idea. I have bought a few digital cd's, but only because those weren't available as physical discs (ie the Frozen Synapse ost).

Also, I just really like having many piles of cd's. I have stacks on my closet, my three bookcases, my floor, my desk, my printer, my second and third chairs, my microwave, my bathroom sink, my fridge, my coffee machine. They're fucking everywhere, yo, and I love it.

Fortunately, my local cd shop will order just about anything from just about anywhere and I used to live near a cd shop that had massive amounts of classical and all "3 for 15 euro". I would occasionally come back from uni with a bag full of classical music and a wallet 120 euro lighter.
