Ok so I bought a physical copy of the Collector's Edition for ME3 and installed the soundtrack, but where the hell is it? I can't find it anywhere. It's downloaded correctly and I checked the Origin games folder but it's empty.

I'm not sure, but I believe you can redownload it through your bioware social profile.
Edit: just checked. You can. It's in.... .wav??!?!

Go to the Bioware Social site and log on to it with your EA Origin account that is linked your Mass Effect games. Once done go to the my games, under your profile pic, and put your mouse over the "My Games" option and register your game. If done correctly you then go back to the "My games" selection and select "Registered Game Content". If you did everything correctly then "Mass Effect 3 Soundtrack should appear in the list of content. Select more info to find out how to download.

We hope this has helped.

It'll download to wherever your default location is, I always drop things onto my desktop and then move them around after that, but I don't recall where it tried to download it originally...

Do a seach for zip folders. Since they didn't compress anything it should be a recent 700 Mb download.
