I am looking to buy Fahrenheit 451, what is the best kind of cover to buy, Library binding or regular hardcover? For this book I do not want less then Hardcover.

Also, my budget allows 2 more book, the biding is not important with them. What are some recommended reading. Also, include graphic novels if that is what you want.

EDIT: OK, I have decided on getting 1984 (I have never read it but I always heard it was good). So I am still looking for one more.

well, Watchmen is really good.

Favorites so far gotta be Fight Club, Uncle Tom's Cabin, and the Running Man (If you saw the film with Arnie, don't worry, it's way different and waay better)

And I do not recommend buying a hardcover for any book.

Nuts to that, get "Snowcrash", "the diamond Age" or "Anathem", all by Neal Stephenson.
Lots and lots of depth, but with a very rapidly paced style, and interesting characters.
And get the hardcover editions. Just because.

edit: snowcrash is about a modern samurai, the diamond age is about a nanotech future about to move on, and anathem is about a civilization where the smart folks and the stupid folks went their separate ways. And then takes place 3000 years or so after that.

Contagious by Scott Sigler
Salem's Lot by Stephen King
The Grapes of Warth by John Steinbeck
Any Tom Clancy book is a good read if you like technothrillers. Just make sure to get the ones actually written by Tom Clancy and not the ones that just capitalize off his name.

Great book, no matter which binding you get.

For the other two books I'd say 1984, and Fight Club (maybe). Also, the Hunchback of Notre Dame is pretty good.

Tom Clancy is awesome, and not just as an author.

He's the only non-british Yeomen Warder (Guard at the Tower of London), although it's just an honorary position probably, it's still pretty crazy)

He was never in the military, but he has such a strong ear to the ground about that sort of stuff that even experts in the field wonder where he gets some of his information.

He's really like a Modern Day Ian Flemming.. and Ian Flemming was amazing too.. The guy basically WAS James Bond.. He actually assassinated people, along with Christopher Lee.. who is also amazing.. That guy is actually scary if you think about it.. in the featurettes for The Return of the King, when Peter Jackson was trying to tell him what sort of sounds to make when Wormtongue stabs him, Christopher Lee just looks at him, smiles and says in the straightest possible way "No, that's not what a person sounds like when you stab them."

I'm going off on a tangent, and this is a bit of stream of consciousness, but I reiterate, Tom Clancy is amazing.

Ringworld by Larry Niven. Sublime science fiction story telling with brilliant and hilarious characters.

I actually can't emphasise how much I LOVE this book. As well as the Ringworld series as a whole.

The Necronomicon: the best weird tales of H.P Lovecraft.

OT: If you haven't read Watchmen, you really should.

And if you'd take suggestions on non graphic novels, A Song of Ice and Fire is really awesome. It's very popular, so you probably already read it though.

I Am The Messenger, such a good read. Or consider the Night Angel Trilogy/Scott Pilgrim Graphic novels for a fun read.

Not enough people sing this man's praises. World of Ptaavs and Neutron Star are also fantastic!

That was the first book that legitimately made me afraid of its monster.

The Green Mile? I mean, I know he's big and black, but I wouldn't call him a monster >.>

Well freakin everyone has said most of the books that first popped into my head, you could start the Pendragon series, or Fablehaven. For some AMAZING graphic novels, just try the Scott Pilgrim series. I know these are all more than 2 books but you could just buy them over time.

Maybe, I'd call Shaquille O'Neal a monster. Jokes aside, I meant the things from The Dreamcatcher.

Batman: The Long Halloween. Even if you're not into superheroes, this one has very little "super" activites. Its mostly just a tale about Batman and the police trying to catch a serial killer who is attacking the mob. Part crime drama, part whodunnit, part comic book.
Also, try some work from James Patterson.
