That part when you send him a picture in the signed clothing is a little... creepy to say the least.

Anyway... I've meet Ryan Neff of Miss May I and Mike Hranica of The Devil Wears Prada. What's even cooler is that it was just out in public and not at a concert or music fest. Sadly, I didn't have CDs with me that they could sign.

I've met...

I interviewed him in 2011. He was visiting my city for a film festival that was showing most of his movies. Very nice guy!

While in NYC I asked some random dude where Houston St. was and a second later I realized I had just stopped Nick Frost. I think he was amused at the situation as I was. And he pointed me towards Houston St., so that sorted itself out.

You may not recognize him by name, but he's a personal favorite of mine - Werner Herzog's cameraman and DP in a lot of my favorite movies, including Aguirre the Wrath of God and Fitzcarraldo. He was a juror at the festival and we talked freely for about an hour. He liked my camera too and taught me how to frame an interview with it, which I think is as good an instruction as I can ever get.

I interviewed him in 2013. He probably came over to the film fest because his buddy Joe Dante had gotten the royal treatment a couple of years back. Everybody loves cult filmmaking like his and he got to dust up some old films of his, so everybody won. Landis is kind of bombastic and kind of hard to interview but he's funny as hell.

I've also met and dealt with a bunch of Argentine celebs nobody cares about so I won't bore you with those.

Does being in the same present count? If so-

Paul Abbot (creator of Shameless). He was a visiting Proffessor in the Universirty I was in. He arrived after we finish watching our film in the film club (we were in a lecture room to watch it). The club members were all chatting to him while I just say a quick hello and left (I was in a hurry).

Craig Cahrles (Red Dwarf). He was sigining his autography in the MCM Expo I was visiting. My mate went for the autograph and as well a photo too while I was nearby (I wasn't allow to take a direct photo of him so the closest I got was taking a photo of the signing booth he was in).

I used to play football (American kind) with MC Hammer's sons. He didn't do anything flashy or act special, he dressed in normal clothes and was just like any other dad watching his son play sports.

Most people in this town don't even know that it's him. He is just an average nice guy in person. It was pretty surprising to me.

EDIT: He refused all autograph requests.

I was working at a garage part time. I had apparently served a footballer.
"Dude, that's [famous footballer whose name I've forgotten]! Oh please, let me touch his £10 note!"
I look at the note.. I put it in my pocket, take a £10 note from my own wallet, take the footballer's note from my pocket and into my waller, and then put what was previously my note into the cash register.
"Fuck you, man."

I got a takeout in exchange for my coworker's respect. Worh it.

I met my favourite band, Blind Guardian, at a meet and greet session at Wacken a few years ago. They signed my favourite album, which has had pride of place on my desk ever since. Hansi Kursch (the lead singer) said he liked my hair, which was waist-length and dyed bright blue at the time. I was embarrassingly and unexpectedly star-struck and probably said something completely inane XD

I met this guy at one of his shows, if asking him to sign a CD counts as meeting. I didn't push it on him out of the blue or anything, he was standing with a Sharpie to sign for people after the show. The performance had been quite amazing and I was a bit overwhelmed. We exchanged a couple sentences, I don't remember what we said.

Nick Plott, world-renowned Star Craft expert, was one of my best friends in high school. He's probably the closest thing to a celebrity that I've actually met, and an obscenely gifted gamer. I introduced him to Marvel vs Capcom 2 and beat him up in it a bit. Literally the next day he had it mastered and I never beat him again.

Lived in California for a while and got to briefly meet Ice Cube. And the voice of The Tick from the cartoon, Townsend Coleman, he was super nice and signed something for me.

I met a couple others, but the one that stands out is Bob Hope in a Starbucks. He was clearly over the edge at that point and spontaneously broke into song. His assistant (don't know who he was) knew exactly which song he was singing and they kind of did a soft shoe dance routine right there in front of the counter. I got to sit next to Mr. Hope. We both stared out the window into the desert heat. He was gone mentally and very quiet, but seeing him sing and dance was pretty cool.

in answer to your question in a relationship for 8 years but not married. its not something i would recommend to anyone who isnt in the public eye themselves and frankly destroyed our relationship in the end.

its extremely stressful, you are constantly watching your back for media and its not like you can actually tell people "im dating such and such" because most people think you are full of BS. its why famous people tend to date famous people, they know what to expect and can deal with it better.

my only advice to people would be treat them as you would any other person. ask permission before taking photos, dont bug them while they are obviously busy or eating meals
eating meals lol that sounds funny :p

I met Michael Palin and made him a cup of tea, because I was doing work experience at a school at the time.

As such, my autobiography once I have conquered the world and placed everyone under my iron shod boot heel will be caled 'Making tea for Pythons'
