Which game(s) have a good story line good enough to make a decent film

Hard to say. A lot of them have good storylines, but very few of them have storylines that can be made into movies.

I say the Half Life series will make excellent movies, and Call of Duty 4:Modern Warfare would make for a beyond excellent HBO mini-series.

Definitely.

Also, if they did it perfectly, a Halo or Metroid movie could work.

And, if they did it from a different viewpoint than Freeman, a Half Life movie could work, but it would run the risk of being generic considering the way things go in Hollywood.

If they don't mess it up, but it would be good for a movie, it also wouldn't require too many special effects that would make it look too fake. Just about getting good actors and amazing writers.

Doesnt matter, the studios will skewer the original material in order to make it more "hollywood", the end result will more than likely be shit.

EDIT: Honourable mention the Oddworld series.

If they could do the giant robots and if they're willing to make a twenty hour long movie, then the MGS series. They're heavily based on movies anyway.
