So, as the title suggests, what invention annoys you the most? Ignore any and ALL redeeming values it may or may not have. What annoys you and why?

Also, just for reference: Don't say religion, or atheism, or anything of the sort. For serious.

Anyways! To start this off?

Saran wrap / plastic wrap.

Sure, it keeps foods fresh, but holy FECK. I hate it so much... It's IMPOSSIBLE to tear it off the roll without crinkling it, and once it's crinkled, it can't be fixed. It just turns itself into a horrible ball of suck and fail.

Moving isn't really an invention, (it's migration, more or less). The Big cities would work though.

Felt and other thread everywhere fabrics. I have egsema (sp.) and whenever I put my hands on that stuff it catches on the dry skin and hurts like I just washed my hands in rubbing alcohol.

Chrome plating on the back of handheld electronics that will do nothing but get scratched and smudged with fingerprints.
Clam-shell packaging.
Can't think of any more.
EDIT: That type of cotton that's soft at first, but with friction or sweat starts to thin out and make little balls of cotton appear all over it.

Mobile phones. They aren't so bad if people could control them, but ignoring the redeeming features I think they are what annoy me the most. People wasting my time by being in my company but using their cellphone all the time. I do have better things to do than sit and watch people stare unintelligently at their little gadgets and texting with people whose time they could be wasting instead of mine. They are also the perfect way for clingy girlfriends of boyfriends to ruin their partner's evening out by constantly craving their attention through either text messages or phone calls.
