Which of these two should I go for (GPUs)?

So I've decided between these. Now I've been recommended Radeon cards around same price range that may be a bit better value, but I'm set on between one of these. Plus, I have a gift card for Amazon for 15 dollars, and got a rebate for an Nvidia card (that will work with both I link) for another 15 dollars. And I always have been happy with Nvidia.

These are pretty much same price and specs. Except EVGA one has more clock to it. Any reason to go with one or the other?

The EVGA one:

and Gigabyte

My techy dad said he heard EVGA card(s) can be quite loud, and he thinks the Gigabyte one would probably be quieter with the two larger fans. Gigabyte is good, dads machine has a couple Gigabyte hardware in it and they still run really well after...must be 6 or so years now, maybe 5...in that range. But I know EVGA is a really good brand.

So is it pretty much either one? Or is one better? They look to be the same specs pretty much. Would I lose a lot of FPS with the Gigabyte card, since it doesn't have as much clock? Or would it just be a few or something? Only worry is how loud I heard EVGA is.

Now, one thing is the EVGA stays cooler or keeps the case cooler? Where as the Gigabyte card just blows the hot air inside the case?

Thanks for any thoughts and more info. :) I finalize my purchase either late today to Friday, but I want to make sure I'm 100% on the card.

I'm running a 660 EVGA 2gb, it's silent as can be, keeps a nice 30 idle. I've so far only used Gigabyte for Mobo's and they've been good, but no experience with them from a GPU perspective.

I was recommended either EVGA or Gigabyte when I was doing my build. They're both great brands.
Got a Gigabyte Radeon 7950, not been disappointed.

From the looks of those, the EVGA fans are contained within the case, so average noise may be less. On the flipside the more exposed Gigabyte card heatsink may stay cooler, meaning the fans won't kick in as noisily.
Can't give anything other than vague answers really!

If you find a GPU fan too noisy, you can always turn the fans down a bit using MSI afterburner or similar. Or just mess with the fan profile so the fan only runs at higher speeds when it gets hotter.
If you aren't OC-ing you'll have a pretty big margin in terms of temps, so you can usually turn the fans down, let the load temps increase from ~50C to ~60C for example. That's still well within safe tolerances.

Looking online, it does seem that this particular EVGA card has had some noise issues. Apparently it's actually an intermittent fault though, so if you were to get a noisy one just return it as faulty. Seems to happen straight out of the box, so you'd know straight away if it was dodgy.

As for the clocks, they're similar enough that you won't really notice a difference. Maybe literally 1 fps, nothing significant.
