Who else hates the site redesign?

Ever since the shiny new escapist debuted, I've found this site impossible to navigate. Every couple of times when I click a link I get a server error and have to refresh the page until it loads. In general all the pages are loading slower for me. When I click the show more button when browsing through the news half the time instead of loading more articles it loads a blank page. Is anyone else having similar problems, or for some other reason taking issue with the redesign?

It's so bright, can't find stuff anymore and I don't like the new blue colour. What was wrong with our dark blue text Escapist?

So far, the worst I have had to feral with has been page loading times. Occasionally, I've had to stop the page and try again to get it to go through (got a double post of a forum thread for that).

Beyond the loading speed problems, I can't say as I've had too much of a problem, but I don't think that I like the new aesthetic overly much. But then again, I fear change.

I'm more or less indifferent to it. So far I prefer the look of the old site, but I'm sure I'll warm up to it. My biggest complaint is the it is in dire need of some more borders or something. The nothing-but-white look is starting to burn my corneas.

I'm getting used to it but the brightness really hurts my eyes after a short while and I am struggle to read the writing. My eyes are bad enough as it is ;_;

I agree. Everything seems a lot more sensibly arranged now.

I have found no issues, except for the incessant whining and bitching about the new look.
I?ve not noticed any drastic change in load times, or increase in errors. Personally I rather like it.

Thugly compared to last design. Not absolutely terrible but still soulless and unoriginal. Fuckin' sick of the white as well.

However, I'm not having any loading problems anymore.

I don't hate it but it's worse then before, which is an odd direction to take, and even with the far simpler style (or lack there of) the site loads a lot slower.

I've gotten used to the layout, I still feel that it is way too much of a clusterfuck, but it is also way too bright. The White and fade to grey background is just... BLARGH on my eyes.

I like the forum section, this is where the new design shines, but everywhere else, it is just... Bad. Oh yeah, and it takes way too long to load.

It's off topic I know (But this has been done to death so who cares?) but your avatar always hypnotises me. It sends me into a trance every damn time.

Id like to know why you have to go to differnt pages to find news and video's. It wroked so much quicker when you cold get it all on one page.

The white background turns my cosy dorm room into a solarium anytime I log on. It's giving my skin a healthy reddish tinge. Good stuff Escapist I implore you on your web design prowess.

I don't like it...

I no longer can click the links to the shows I watch at the side (Or look at the name of the newest update to see if they have been (Yes I know the days they update but the times I'm not too sure on)), it's got less room for titles of threads in the "Hot Topics" box and there is 3 inches of pure white screen either side of where all the posts are in topics meaning that it is rediculously bright...

Other than that (And the 2-3 days of "Unable to connect" while it was updating) I haven't had any problems with it.

But my god it's way too bright...

Now that I've had some time with it I really like how the forums are organized and handled.

That said, I actually visit the site far less now because of the constant lag and load times. I'm not willing to wait 10-30 seconds for every thread to load or wonder if my post will ever get through.

Granted the lag is getting better over time, but it's still bad enough to effect my participation here.
