One of the great things about the internet is that anybody with near understandable grammar and at least dial-up can become an internet personality. So i was wondering who you guys think The most influential person on the web is and why?. Some examples might be Yahtzee or Madoxx.
(I don't know if this has done before here but if it has, sorry)

I would go with the guys at Penny Arcade. They turned a blog and a three panel comic into PAX and Child's Play. When they talk, people listen..in large numbers.

And we have a winner.
Then again, there's an argument to be made for Wise Beard Man. After all, anybody who can gain the respect of Anonymous...

The fact that the respect of Anonymous is something to be valued kinda validates my point.

On the internet?

Maddox. Want to know why? Look up the best page in the universe and learn what it means to stand in the face of non-Escapist epic.

Decent topic, ignore the spam.

For me it would be Maddox, back when I was a 15 year old fledgling internet user and aspiring (and relatively successful for my age) writer I came across the greatest page in the universe which was, at the time, funny, and it completely fucked up my writing. Everything I wrote from then on was tired, hackneyed and ranty. Writing 'rants' is a copout way of being funny without investing the time and effort to write well. I had to take a break from writing for a couple of years to get it out of my system.

People fear other people with the name of Anonymous as it has a huge reputation.
