Me!

Bethesda being Bethesda will make the GotY edition for Skyrim in a few months to a year. So I'm waiting to get Skyrim and all of it's extra content then for $60 then.

Anyone else in the same boat?

I'm waiting for it too. To tide me over, I rented the game over the weekend and then started up my old morrowind save that I haven't played in a while.

Yup. They will hopefully have patched the shit out of it by then fixing the game wrecking glitches and bugs that plague Beth titles.

Count me in, though I'll be waiting until the GOTY is in the bargain bin. Just not different enough from Oblivion to be worth full price to me, even with the all the DLC.

Likewise I shall also be waiting for the GotY. Hopefully by that point I'll have actually finished Oblivion too...

Yes and no.

I'll get the PC GotY version in 12-18 months. In the mean time, I'm playing it on 360. Same thing we did with Fallout 3.

But yeah i'll be picking up the goty with all the good fixed stuff for the pc

I was, but I caved just before preorders ended.

Trust me, I'm a huge wait-for-the-price-drop kind of person, I haven't bought a game that wasn't on a massive sale for years, but trust me, Skyrim is beyond worth it.

I was going to, but ended up preordering. And I do not regret it in the slightest, the game has crashed no more than 4 times on me... and I have 60 hours played. Oh, and the DLCs. I am getting all of them as soon as they come out. Hopefully they'll have the Fallout NV system where each DLC also gives you a few extra levels.

Me too.

I'm not paying full whack for a buggy game only to be subsequently raped for copious amounts of DLC if I want the full experience. I'm sure next year's steam sale will solve that problem.
The full experience is already there.
Been there since launch.

Why do people insist on hating more content for a game they like?
To me it makes little sense.

OT:
Bought it at launch, and I'll most likely buy the DLC when they launch too.
Call me impatient, but I just don't want to wait.

Yeah, that's me right there. To tide myself over, I took advantage of the sale that Steam has going on for Oblivion. The game and all the DLC for six-fiddy? Yes please!

To all the people saying that they are waiting for the bugs to be fixed:
I was actually in the same boat before I caved and preordered it, and I will tell you this. This is officially the least buggy bethesda games I have ever played. There are a couple yes, but nothing game breaking, more just entertaining
The game has only crashed for me twice in 52 hours of gameplay, and now I just need to wait for my ass to sprout wings and fly me into space. I caved and am really glad I did, and if their promise to produce more DLC of the scale and quality of the Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine turns out to be valid, I will gladly pay for it like the predictable little sheep I am, and love the hell out of it.

I'm most likely to buy Skyrim GOTY edition since that game is not my "must buy" list when I get a new pc. Since I'm not that hype up toward that game I pretty certain I can wait that long for them to release it.

Normally i would agree with you. But this time Bethesda really did their work and the game is incredibly playable. In my 9 lvls of play i still havent encountered anything as frustrating as the bugs in Fallout 3.

When the GOTY edition is announced, I'll probably trade in my current copy a few months before release, just to get a better value before the price really drops on the regular edition. Then, I'll wait for a price drop on the GOTY edition and pick that up on the cheap.

Or, if all goes well, I'll have a new PC and I'll be able to pick it up for that. I miss playing Elder Scrolls games after they're modded to hell by the talented modding community...
