Am torn between

And

If you dislike the Muppets, that's ok, we accept all types of soullessness here... please collect the prize waiting for you just behind that trap door in the floor where the strange smells and deep growling emanates from, for everyone's a winner in our domain! Especially when it's not a competition.

The Marley Brothers were characters in the Muppet Christmas Carol. The Muppets that filled the role were Statler and Waldorf, and they're a tough act to follow.

Balls. I did have a niggly feeling they had actual names, but ignored it for reasons that might not hold up in court. That learnethed me for taking the snappy option. It shall be corrected, thankyou for pointing it out. :)

I like Sweetums, but Animal was most like me, back in the day.

Janice is pretty cool too, though. Chill chick, in a band, not so 'in your face' as Ms.Piggy... pretty groovy.

...

Hell, Dr.Teeth and the Electric Mayhem were all pretty cool.

So, Gonzo.

Yes, he counts. The truth is, it's hard to call a favorite, but hey why not this one?

I'd probably say Gonzo, but I have fondness for most of them. And I'll put in a good word for the Swedish Chef (the word in question being "Bork!", naturally): a fine example of a character you could never do today.

Lose 1d20 sanity points.
Write up another one for Statler & Waldorf, I just love them so much because they are sarcastic assholes.

Also probably Statler and Waldorf. They're just pretty classic in all of their appearances.

Statler and Waldorf in terms of humour, but I have a soft spot for Gorgon Heap and Mean Mama.

Since Yoda gets in, by that metric, I'll nominate Reigel from Farscape.

Well our country's prime Minister is a nice enough guy even if he is an idi-er, oh wait THOSE Muppets.

Swedish Chef. That nutter was always hilarious to me.

I always was a fan of Rowlf. He could crack a joke, but was usually just the straight they bounced the bizarre off of. The one example I can always remember is the segment where he did a duet with Leslie Ann Warren. He had been locked in his dressing room and replaced initially with Marvin Suggs and the Muppaphones. Rowlf calling for the stage hands to "strike the muppaphones" was just perfect.

Although I always liked Crazy Harry's bits too. Crazy Harry and the amazing explodaphone.

Animal. His character is succinct, requiring only 5 words, but they're the right words.
'Peace On Earth, Gimme Presents'?

Stantler and Wailord Waldorf. Definitely not the first time it's been done, but definitely the first time I saw a show deliberately mock itself and pre-empt its critics with its own caricatures of them:

'Y'know, I don't think this show's suitable for children.'
'I don't think this show's suitable for anybody!'
'D'ohohohohoho!'

On the other end, Fozzie Bear. The worst comedian of the troupe, but at least he tries no matter how many times the aforementioned duo rain on his parade. He's always there to support Kermit, who is, in the bear's own words: 'My boss, my friend, my inspiration. The one who gave me my big break in the show business.'

So there. If you find his jokes unbearable, you only have Kermit to blame to putting him on stage.

I liked Gonzo as a kid, but Statler and Waldorf seem more suited to the internet age.
