What the hell is a "hostpitality class?"

And you may want to revise your post, as I can barely understand it. Why do people think WHAT is bad? Sorry for you for being surrounded by chicks? Hardly.

EDIT: Now that I know what a hospitality class is, my answer is that sexism is still around, and guys who enroll in cooking classes are more likely to be ridiculed. Fortunately, in the working world, where people are (hopefully) more mature, a male chef or a male who knows how to cook is much more accepted.

I was the only guy in nursing assistant class in high school, it wasnt funny.
Lesson: never listen to your guidance counselor, I told her I wanted to be a doctor.

Yeah, could you please clarify what a "hospitality class" entails? What do you learn in it?
I would've thought it's common knowledge.

Cooking class.
Not in my area. It's referred to (as the poster below you called it) as "Home Economics", but thanks for the clarification nonetheless.

hospitality is basically cooking class, and it's pretty good. Just all my friends got stuck in the other class and i got stuck in the other.

Isn't that just a class though? Hospitality encompasses the working world too.
I have no damn idea. I've never seen a home ec class offered anywhere and I've never met anyone who's taken such a class. They're like Bigfoot.

I'm gonna say sexism. It works both ways you know, men have an attitude of what's expected of women. and women have an attitude of what's expected of themselves. and most of us conform to those expectations that people have for us.

Well I'm the only male waiter in the restaurant where I work. I wouldn't say that's a bad thing.(shifty eyes)

Really? That's weird. My classes were always about even. Why don't you ask to go in the other class? Sticking you in with a bunch of girls seems a bit rough.
