Maybe its just a way to thin out the sheer amount of them being uploaded, they should employ something similar for every CoD/BF/Halo/CS/shootersingeneral vids that has fucking Drowning Pools "Let the bodies hit the floor" as a backing track.

But on a serious note, I do believe its just going through a crackdown phase, a few things I used to watch have been taken by the copyright police of recent. Its annoying but this could be a glimpse of the future.

Mine are still up. Then again, mine only have a few hundred views at max.

I'd assume it's because they're violating copyright law.
Bring forth the felony charges!
Youtube videos are destroying our economy!
Lump them together with murderers and rapists, and lock them up together!

Justice shall be done!

Bandai Namco is super serious about these vids and takes a lot down, especially games like Tales of Xillia.

All the publishers claim that it is copyright infringement (though there is no judgement as far as I know), even if it is good marketing for them without investing anything.

The weird thing is, I'm pretty sure gameplay vids are still protected under fair use. There was a law going through congress that would pretty much destroy it, but it can't get past the senate, and the president has promised to veto it if it does.

I miss the vid of Dovakhiin turning into a werewolf during playing tag and eating the kids :(
It's not surprising that one got taken down, as it really misrepresents the product Zenimax published and certainly goes beyond the realm of "fair use".

Granted, if child eating had been a feature the game shipped with, then from a publishers point of view it would have been less objectionable (as they would have knowingly released an AO rated game with AO content), but footage of your product enabling infanticide (virtual or not) isn't something that any company would be happy about.

I suspect another reason a lot of the footage is being pulled it that, with Chiristmas only around the corner, Zemimax doesn't want parents to see Youtube footage of Skyrim that misrepresents the more gruesome and gratuitous aspects of the game.

For example, while it's true that you can decapitate women and decorate your house with their dismembered corpses, that isn't what the game is about and Zenimax certainly didn't release a serial killer simulator with the intention of enabling that type of nefarious behaviour.
