Why are there so many lawyers and soldiers in MMO gaming?

The past five guilds I've been in have been filled to the brim with lawyers and soldiers.

I don't have anything against these professions, I just find this to be oddly specific.

I would say that soldiers game in MMOs because they have nothing better to do while on duty, but most of the ones I meet are actually former soldiers. Not ones on duty. With lawyers I have no ****ing clue. I expected a lot more engineers.

Anyone have any explanations? Or is it just coincidence?

you expect them to be in court rooms 12 hours a day or soldiers to be in combat 24/7.. Dude military or lawyers don't have much of a life outside there field, unless some badass case is going on (rare) or overseas (super common but surrounded by comps so chances they are super dorks that have the full authority of NSA to fuck your life apart) =P ... Not exp talking just a theory haha. Please someone correct me.

Well, no. But I expect almost any other profession to have enough free time to play an MMO.

Yeah, I've noticed that too. Well, I haven't noticed many lawyers, but in my experience, there have been a hell of a lot of soldiers on the MMOs I've played. No freaking idea why though.
