Why are you an escapist?

I was just wondering why all these people are on the escapist forums. So I would like to ask everybody why are you on the escapist?

I really question why SOME PEOPLE are Escapists when they seem to be better friends with the search button. If you want to tell someone that the topic has been done before, just say it. Don't make them feel like an ass for not consulting the search button. Too many Escapists do this. C'mon, guys.

I registered because I loved ZP, and then I stayed because after I looked around a bit, I found some really fun people(like Max), and I was entertained enough to stay.

I also muck around on the forums, try to get badges, and play Genre Wars.
Occasionaly I read news articles.

Like most people here it was a ZP review of COD4 and it got me hooked. Plus all the news and also Unforgotten Realms (gotta love 'I CAST FLARE').
I don't like to post on the fourm alot beacause of how fast it moves most of the time.

Well.... if you want to know how I got here, I saw ZP on X-Play and searched the Google for it. Found the Escapist, read the forums, liked what I saw, and voila! But if you mean why I stay here, I was at a gaming site with positively HORRIBLE forums. I longed for someone with intellect to speak with, but it was a common sense black hole. Then I saw the Escapist was pretty much the exact opposite, and I saw what that hell-hole for what it truly was.

People are funny, Intelligent and scary in a funny way. Less "Kill you in your sleep" more "Ima firin Mah lazer at your house... Mr Bond". Anyways, it's an interesting and enjoyable place to go relax and discuss some of my favorite topics.
