So... I have five more pages to write for a project that was due thirteen hours ago, and all I can do is keep chatting on the forums here. (I've got 'The Add,' as my sister calls it)
Why are you distracting me, Escapist!?*

Discussion: What's your best procrastination story?
What's your best "did it at the last second" story?
What sorts of things do you do when putting off homework?
Ah procrastination. Before the internet, it was video games, and before that... well I didn't really have major projects to finish before then, but I'm sure I would have found something.
My most successful procrastination story was probably the first speech I had to do this semester for my public speaking class. I consider myself a pretty good public speaker, but the first speech had to be informative... so I had to have information from something. I honestly had no topic because I couldn't think of something that would engage the audience. Instead of working like I should have been, I played ridiculous amounts of Starcraft 2 and watched the forming pro games. Well last minute shows up and I have no topic and no information... so I walk in to class and talk about pro Starcraft. They completely ate that shit up, and I got a perfect score.
As for the things that I do... well it just depends. Most of the time I will play games, listen to music, or just browse teh intarwebz, but other times I pull up the project and do nothing but stare at a blank screen. In those cases I would be happier procrastinating with something fun, but instead I do that. Now this isn't to say I have no work ethic... these days my projects rarely get finished at the last second because I have become good at scheduling my time, but efficiency in that scheduling is still a problem...
