You can do what you said in many places, you wouldn't bring them to the cinema.
I've seen people take babies to the cinema loads of times.
What!? Aren't cinemas supposed to enforce certificate ratings?

I have a baby and I feel that just taking a walk will have the same effect. Babies are dumb as hell and your right, they don't have the capacity yet to understand the difference between a monkey and a rhino. They mostly just want to eat things.
Jon, I know your a fucked up man, but please... do you keep your baby on one of those kid leashes? I swear to god, if you say fucking yes, I'm going to ram that god damn leash up your ass xD
That pisses me off more than people bringing their kids in public; Child leashes. The fuck? Doesn't that sort of mean slavery? Keep an eye on your god damn kid if your gonna take them in public. Don't rely on some fabric to do your job as a parent...
And chase after them every time they see something shiny on the ground? It's better then losing them in a shopping mall.

i was kind of grouping old people in with adults. i guess because of the cultural differences generation to generation i find them unrelateable.
So you're a bit of a misanthropist, then?

Well probably a family day out to a place where the babies can smile at funny moving things.

You should go to a zoo it's awesome when you find the porcupine at the zoo I go to!

i went to the zoo in Cincinnati Ohio and i couldn't enjoy myself because of all the stupid babies and kids. their is no point in taking your little spawn to the zoo when they get old enough you can tell them you took them everywhere their not going to know. i wish the zoo at lest had an adult only day.

i don't really like kids or baby's, i dislike teenagers even more than i did when i was one, and adults are boring. what does that leave me with?
... /face-palm.

Please change that to: I dislike most teenagers. Please. Other wise your a generalising fool. And blindly ignorant. Yes I get irritated when I'm put into the same group as the general modern teenager. For good reason, I am.... very... adult.

I hate babies, they have no reason for being in certain places, they wont even remember being there.

When Jurassic Park 3 was in theatres I went to go see it. Low and behold, someone decided it would be a good idea to bring a baby to that movie. As soon as any of the dinosaurs made any noises the damn thing started to cry and the person wouldn't take it out of the theatre.

You're telling me a baby that screams out and scares away the rare tiger or rhino is understanding and appreciating?

What's strange is I once saw a woman holding her baby over a cage line in front of the real cage holding the carnivore... Micheal Jackson anyone?
It's understanding there's a strange thing with pointy bits on it.

My parents took me to a zoo when I was pretty young, I "appreciated" that those animals should've been in the wild.

Something like "the penguins shouldn't be trapped".

Why bring babies to either the movies or church? I mean, I like babies and all, but can you at least have the decency to take them out of the room when they start crying during a prayer?

i am generalizing, because in general i dislike most teenagers and like i said i disliked teenagers when i myself was one. whether or not my general dislikes make me a fool or not i guess i cant say. I'm not saying that i hate all teenagers absolutely I'm just saying that in general i dislike teenagers so you shouldn't be personally offended
Well that is close enough to what I wanted, It sounded like you meant absolutely ever teenager, I correct so many people on that. So Thanks... I guess. *tips hat*

I can understand it, my little brother's four and he's loved animals and bugs for as long as I can remember - we took him to Chester Zoo and he didn't cry once, he just kept pointing with wide eyes and saying their names. Actually, it's probably one of the best family outings we've had.

Some of my earliest memories are of visting the Zoo.

Even though I don't know anything about child developement.

I'm pretty sure babies need the mental stimulation of the outside world as their brain develops and the bonding between parent and child over sharing an enjoyable experience.

It's stimulation for the baby.
I can't believe you didn't think of that.
You could show the baby a one of a kind butterfly with irredecant scales that sings to give it "stimulation" Or you could wave a fuzzy stick in front of it and make cooing noises. its the same thing and less people get annoyed. babies see everything fuzzy anyway, chances are all tehy are seeingis a blob with colours they like. woop de do.

My question is why not bring babies to the zoo? Any and all exposure to the information of any kind is a good thing really, besides the obvious things you should not expose a child to of course.

BTW, who has children here? I have a 10 year old daughter for the record. When she was a baby she loved the zoo.
