2 was the best. The absurd difficulty of 1 was gone, and there was more fun to be had.
Ah, Dead Rising; we got off to a rough start, but you earned my respect? until now. I was one of those who still had an SD TV back when the 360 launched and literally could not read a fucking bit of Dead Rising?s in-game text. I revisited the game about a year later after getting my first HD TV and the punishing difficulty was the NEXT turn off. Took me a couple of years, but I begrudgingly powered through a single playthrough during gaming droughts. Then Dead Rising 2 came out and because my buddy and I just finished co-oping Dead Islands 1&2 and wanted another zombie fix, we both picked it up. I don?t recall much of 2 for some reason, but I must have enjoyed it, because I bought Dead Rising 3 on launch day, and I
did thoroughly enjoy THAT one. I didn?t need a story or a challenge, I just wanted a shit-ton of zombies and absurd ways in which to kill them, and Dead Rising 3 delivered that in spades. I wanted to look forward to Dead Rising 4, but something told me the series had likely peaked; this video proves it?
