i enjoy final fantasy because im a gamer that enjoys a good story and cast of characters, some

of the characters are deffinataly corny of course in the series but characters like auron and

wakka from final fantasy 10 just show how unique a character can be in a game. plus i always

like the length of the games, not to short not to long perfect for me. I dont know why i like

the fighting machanic in final fantasy more than the other rpg's but it is deffinately my favorite

I can deffinately understand how someone can hate this game however, sometimes the cut scenes

are to long and the story line may not cathch the eyes of some but still for me its a great series that i will continue to play

I don't really enjoy them because I don't find them fun. Simple as that. There were a few that I liked, but none that I would say are amazing.

I've played a couple, have to say I've played better and worse games. They weren't fantastic, but they were no ET or Big Rigs either.

The fuckin' mileage. I'm lucky if I can squeeze 20 hours out of a normal game these days, but I've sank 60 or so hours into FF12 and I still have quite a few hunts left.

The Enter Key has been raped.

But I loved VI's story-telling and characters, and music, and... Everything about it really.

And XII's combat system was really damn cool as well.

VI was one of the Final Fantasy games I liked. And oddly enough, VIII. Those were the main two, and I enjoy them while I played them. And I joined your group, don't worry.

Ehh, I'm not a fan of turn based combat, so I guess that's what really turned me off Final Fantasy.

i quite enjoyed palying 7 & 8, 9 not so much, 10 was the best that i've played and X-2 was by far the worst that i've played. i played them really for the story and the fact that they all have a world where you can lose yourself and get hooked in. i destinctly remember playing FF X when i first got it for 13 hours straight... happy days...

me,I prefer the original 2d ones.

of course the most time I've ever spent on one of them is roughly an hour or two and I sat in front of final fantasy 10 for a lot longer than that, which actually strengthens my case considering that such a small amount of time was able to muster much more enjoyment than days of the other one.

otherwise I don't really play final fantasy

and welcome to escapist

So why did you keep on raping the poor enter key? : (

I don't know why I liked Final Fantasy. They just good games I guess. Well most of them.
I was actually introduced very late to the FF series. Around FF9 I guess, a friend brought the game to my house to kill that Ice Wizard on dic 1, but he kept failing, till I did it on my first try. I'm that awesome.

I like them because the stories are usually very good, with a few twists along the way. The depth of the characters is brilliant aswell, also for the money they usually last well over 60 hours of gameplay (as an average I guess), unlike most games which can be clocked within 6 hours these days. To this day I still rank FF7 as the best and definately in my top 2, on the top spot.

I loved VI, VII, VIII, and IX. Ten never really grabbed me though.

I loved the length of the games, I enjoyed just how complex the stories were, and how quirky the characters were. The series has arguable some of the best music ever recorded for a video game.

The graphics were always ahead of their time, without sacrificing gameplay or story.

Usually likable characters, sweeping epic (Not "Epic fail" epic, The Odyssey epic) stories, cool art styles, and interesting combat mechanics.

Excluding 8, X-2, and 12 obviously.

I loved Final Fantasy X because the whole story had great themes about life, death, loss, religion, and even racial tensions.

The whole Yevon thing was an indictment of the hypocrisy in organized religion, a theme I can relate to.

The only one I have played at any length is final fantasy ten and I have others to play when I am done with it. I like the game because the characters all have a distinct personality instead of the same personality shoe-horned into different characters (Badass with gruff voice, Badass that talks into your earpiece, Badass with big gun and so on and so forth)

That and how long the game is. Most of the games I play these days I can finish in a day which gets really annoying after a while. I started final fantasy 10 in June and I still havent finished it (yes I am stuck be quiet) but I dont care that I am stuck where as in most games if I get stuck and if I cant get around it in a couple of tries I just cheat around it. In final fantasy ten I figure out my own methods to win (usually its a boss with a really annoying attack or something of the sort)

After I finish FF10 Im going to play seven then five and six and I hope I enjoy them as much as the one I am playing now.
