Why does it take so long to change my avatar?

I have no idea why, but for some reason the escapist take wayyy to long to change my avatar to something else. I do as I always do, upload it from my computer's memory to the website but it still takes some long times to update. I recently changed it last night at around 10:00 CST and it has now been about 21 hours since it's upload. To elaborate, it shows that I successfully update the avatar, however it shows the standard "picture missing icon",

and will not show my new picture. For reference my old avatar did this but fixed itself after about 2-3 days.

So I ask you, fellow members of the Escapist, does this ever happen to you? If so, how long does it take to fix for you?

I clear all browsing data, then re-log into the site. Instant avatar change.

Try clearing your cashe.

Usually I right-click, open image in new tab, reload/refresh, problem solved.

Thank you! Just did that and it worked just as you said. I will remember this next time and that is the /thread. Once again thank you, saved me a lot of waiting/pain/disappointment.
