Why does no one ever bring up the apocalypse from the bible?

Isn't it just as likely to happen as zombies or "legion" or "28 Days later" style?

More meat and potatoes: I ask this question because everyone is always talking about "z-day" and the like but nobody ever talks about the bible version happening. From my point of view both have the same chances of happening, yet everyone harps on zombies. Is it the controversy surrounding religion? Is it that they have not managed to make a movie about it yet? I read the Left Behind series and also a book called Swan Song. Go read those and tell me that if they made movies out of those books that they wouldn't be more interesting than any zombie movie ever.

And I am not some religious zealot or anything but I AM tired of people talking about just the zombie apocalypse.

The thing with 28 days later is that there is a very, unbelievably remote chance that it might be scientifically possible. And with Legion ... that's basically a biblical Armageddon as well. But a good one, mind you. The actual biblical end is WAY to dramatic for a movie. And not good drama mind you.

Though a fight between the legions of Hell, and the armies of God would be pretty epic, if depicted the right way.

Unless I am totally wrong on what the biblical apocalypse is, having not ever read a bible... ever.

Could that post possibly have a little more meat on the bone please?

I could really care how an apocalypse was caused in the certain universe, just so long as it can make you believe that an apocalypse happened and not just look like you strayed too far from Las Vegas. Simple enough, too bad not too many movies seem to get it right.
