Synopsis: Half Century war follows a 2 young men from the JSDF who's country was attacked by Godzilla and while they didn't defeat the monster they did join in organization that could protect the world from Kaiju. Half century war tells the tale spanning 50 years about the relationship between these men and the Kaiju

Characters: On one hand the story does follow the two JSDF really well, we see them as young men freshly out of their teens to old farts who are knocking on death's door. We can understand their motivations and one of them(Ota) pretty narrates the entire book so the audience can get in idea whats going through his head during the book. On the other hand other than the two JSDF soldiers nobody really gets any good characterization, hell certain characters appear and disappear the next issue.

Story: The story isn't really anything to write home about but lets face it not a lot of people watch Godzilla for the story. Its pretty much about man vs nature and corruption, nothing Alan Moore Esque but its pretty fun

Art- The guy who drawed this goes by the name of James Stokoe and his art is pretty much psychedelic, he uses a lot of red and his drawings are pretty much remind you of an LSD trip

Huh, that's an interesting take on the idea. Maybe I'll look into it.

Have you seen the new film?
